It was released in Japan on March 27, 2013, and in North America and Europe on May 16, 2013. On May 17, 2013, a sequel called ''The Starship Damrey Chapter II'' was announced for worldwide release on May 16, 2014, alongside a third game called ''The Starship Damrey Chapter III'', to be released May 17, 2015.
