In this game, you play as Cassidy, a girl who moves from a backwater town to the city of Redhaven. Her days are spent building up friendships, while her nights are spent sifting through her emotions and memories in her dreams, where the game takes place.
----
* BatterUp: The Super Slugger is a simple baseball bat that can fend off any enemy.
* {{BFS}}: The Breaker Sword (as well as Radiant Edge) is a giant sword that Cass can casually swing around in her dreams.
* BratsWithSlingshots: The Slingshot is a ranged weapon that can be found in the Dream World.
* CombatCueStick: The Pool Cue allows Cass to fight with it like it's a bo staff.
* CounterAttack: Shields allow Cass to parry attacks at the right time, giving her an opening or reflecting shots back at turrets.
* DoubleUnlock: For a new piece of gear, lucid attack or keepsake to appear in the Dream World, Cass has to find an Idea, then pay Inspiration points to make them spawn.
* EyeBeams: Optic Sear allows Cass to shoot lasers from her eyes.
* TheFaceless: All characters are designed as faceless models.
* FlashStep: Shadow Step makes Cass's dash turn into this. When mastered, they give Red Pit resistance.
* MagicWand: The Wand of Blasting changes Cass's Ranged Weapon into a wand.
* ShoutOut: There are so many references in the game it's hard to keep track.
** The Breaker Sword and Radiant Edge look like the Buster Sword from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII''.
** Optic Sear is based on the same optic blast as Characters/MarvelComicsCyclops.
** The Pool Cue has this FlavorText.
--->"For channeling your inner [[Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles Donatelo]], there's nothing better than a spinning flurry of blocks with a stick.]]"
** The FlavorText for the Draconic Rage Lucid Attack.
--->"I guess I'm more like the [[Series/GameOfThrones Wacky Aunt of Dragons]]."
** The Wand of Blasting is fit for something from ''Franchise/HarryPotter.''
--->"No scar needed."
