''Blazing Souls'' is a StrategyRPG developed and published by Creator/IdeaFactory in Japan and brought to the West by Creator/AksysGames. It's a game from the UsefulNotes/PlayStation2 and UsefulNotes/XBox360 that was never localized until its second update for the UsefulNotes/{{PSP}}. It's the third game of the ''Spectral Souls'' subseries, and it's related to a good deal of games of the same franchise, with referrences harkening all the way back to the first ''Spectral Force''.

Bonus Boss is a disambiguation

* BonusBoss: When the TrueEnding is enabled, Doppelganger versions of the Genomes appear around Neverland. They're not necessary for the True Ending, but they net great rewards on both stealing and killing them, and winning those fights are necessary [[HundredPercentCompletion for some of the Titles]].

Loads And Loads Of Characters is no longer a trope

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: The original UsefulNotes/Playstation2 version already had a big team of eighteen characters. ''Blazing Infinity'' for the UsefulNotes/XBox360 adds [[VideoGame/SpectralForce2 Jadore and Snow]], links them to the main story, [[spoiler:[[HeelFaceTurn and makes Zelena, Edward and Hermes playable as part of your team]] near the end]]. Accelate on top of that adds [[VideoGame/SpectralSoulsRessurrectionOfTheEtherealEmpires Hiro, Roze and Yunellia]] as bonus characters, but these three don't have any effect on the story, however.
** A massive shame for Hiro's case, as she's Jadore's younger sister and is still around by the time of this game. Also, her personal weapon can be crafted, but it can also be used by other Scythe users. Also, Roze, as Jadore is her ''half-brother'' and he doesn't even know that.

Zelos also appears in the crossover games ''VideoGame/ChaosWars'' and ''VideoGame/CrossEdge''.

Has a [[Characters/BlazingSoulsAccelate Character Page]] on the works.

* ActionCommands: While in Action Mode, the player character has to use commands displayed at the top-left of the screen (Destroy, Climb, Dig etc) to solve the puzzles and move to the next area.

* EndGamePlus: Upon clearing the game, you can choose between this and a NewGamePlus. If you choose to continue from that point, the last dungeon gets upgraded into a BrutalBonusLevel.

* FakeLongevity:
** Characters joins you at level 1, leading to ForcedLevelGrinding.
** You need Work Points to advance in the story. If you run out of them, expect to either complete quests or start grinding for CP to convert into WP.
** Some of the side-quests aren't really optional, as you need the alias earned from completing them to learn new action commands and advance in the levels.

* SNKBoss: Unlike your party, the bosses can unleash their [[LimitBreak Original Skills]] at will, regardless of how much AP they have.

Added DiffLines:

* BreakMeter: The first in the franchise to include this. Every enemy has, along with its HP, a green gauge that will only take damage from a specific of three types of attack: Destroy, Impact or Penetrate. Depleting the gauge with the correct type of attack will cause the enemy to enter "Over Break" status, making them susceptible to attacks as if they had no stats, and some skills even get extra hits from this. Needless to say, breaking that gauge is also the key to defeating bosses and benefitting from the SurplusDamageBonus.
