* ProtagonistTitle: The game is named after the main character, "Bik".

* Rocket Boots: Tatenen uses them for easier repairs on the Laterous on Baste. When Bik asks him, he explains that the low gravity of Baste means the boots don't expend much fuel here. Bik asks to try them on. However, Tatenen belatedly warns him that the low gravity also means that Bik shouldn't set it to full thrust.

* MostDefinitelyNotAVillain: The Umarian storage robot accidentally destroyed thanks to Ammut manages to upload itself to Bik's Gametron and starts plotting revenge on Ammut. It keeps accidentally letting it slip what it's really doing, then quickly correcting itself with no one seemingly realizing. However, at the end, Bik admits that he wasn't fooled for a second.

Bik (or Bik - A Space Adventure) is a multi-platform 2D AdventureGame reminiscent of the classic point-and-click adventure games. The game is deliberately designed using pixel-art graphics (except for the space cutscenes) and synth soundtrack. The game is available on multiple platforms, including mobile devices. There are no voices, but the game isn't really lacking because of that, since the developers were going for a retro look-and-feel. The game is chock-full of humor. Throughout the story, the PlayerCharacter changes between Bik, Ammut, and Talandra.

The story involves a little human boy who is abducted by the Umarians, a mysterious and ancient race, for some unknown purpose, while on a camping trip with friends. The Umarians subject Bik to various experiments. At the same time, two red-faced RubberForeheadAliens named Ammut and Tatenen, are mercenaries who are hired by a farmer on the planet Baste to deliver a shipment of nanosoil in order to fertilize his squeeg crops. Their ship, the Laterous, is crippled and stranded in a remote system. By a ContrivedCoincidence, the same Umarian ship arrives to the system to mine some asteroids and replenish supplies. Desperate, Ammut and Tatenen infiltrate the Umarian ship to steal some parts to repair the Laterous. Due to Ammut's incompetence, they are captured and placed in a cell next to Bik's. Thanks to Tatenen's sabotage, Bik manages to escape and frees the two aliens. They quickly become friends and escape aboard the Laterous. The Umarians follow them, tracking a beacon that they placed on the freighter.

The Laterous is then captured by a group of aliens who promised the nanosoil shipment desperately needed on Baste. After killing the attackers, the crew of the Laterous delivers the shipment to the farmer, only to be told that his (very attractive, at least to Ammut) daughter Talandra has been kidnapped by Squeegmart thugs (in fact, she sneaks aboard their shuttle to find her brother). Ammut and Bik travel to the Squeegmart SpaceStation and manage to locate Talandra, who has discovered that her brother had been killed for missing his quota. The people of Baste are suffering. There is a shortage of squeeg. Many of the people go to work for Squeegmart, only to be treated like slaves. Talandra is determined to go to planet SET, the location of the Squeegmart HQ, and discover the truth. The crew of the Laterous agrees to help her.

On planet SET, they manage to get into the city and sneak into the Squeegmart HQ. Being small, Bik offers to use the vents to sneak into the CEO's office. After deactivating motion sensors and getting in, Bik manages to hack into the CEO's computer (thanks to some knowledge that the Umarians have downloaded into him). He finds out that Squeegmart has been deliberately hoarding all the squeeg in order to create a shortage and put all of Baste under their thumb. He is confronted by the CEO, starting a BossBattle. After the CEO is killed, Tatenen picks up Bik and the others, and they take off into space. The SET security forces are on their tail. Just then, the Umarian ship arrives and begins to battle the SET forces, giving the Laterous a chance for a HyperspeedEscape. Arriving to Baste's orbit, the Laterous is confronted by several Squeegmart ships ordered to destroy them. While Ammut stalls the commander of the ships, Talandra transmits their findings to Baste. The Baste defense ships chase off Squeegmart forces and raid the station. Talandra returns to her father. Ammut promises to visit her. Bik, Ammut, and Tatenen continue their adventures, while looking for Earth and eating sandwiches.

!!The game provides examples of:

* AndTheAdventureContinues: After defeating the BigBad and saving Baste, the crew of the Laterous (and Bik) set course for a new adventure... and sit down to eat some sandwiches.
* AerosolFlamethrower: Bik's weapon for .
* AirventEscape: Bik is small enough to be able to walk around the airvents in the Squeegmart HQ.
* AlienAbduction: Bik and, possibly, the other kids on the camping trip, are kidnapped by the Umarians at the start of the game.
* ArtificialGravity: All spaceships and stations appear to have this. In fact, solving one puzzle aboard the Laterous involves shutting off gravity in one section.
* BadassLongcoat: The BigBad wears one.
* BigBad: The CEO of Squeegmart, who likes to personally kill those who have failed him.
* BlandNameProduct: Bik's Gameboy Gametron.
* CoolStarship: "Cool" may be stretching it, but the Laterous is still flying despite being an old and beat up freighter, mostly thanks to Tatenen's engineering genius.
* Cyclops: The Human Aliens on planet Baste are one-eyed.
* FarmersDaughter: Talandra. Fittingly, she wears shorts, and her bellybutton is exposed. Ammut falls for her after seeing her picture. By the end of the game, she has fallen for him, but Ammut has no intention of settling down on a farm just yet.
* FeedItABomb: The only way to defeat the monster on planet SET.
* GoddamnedBats: Shooting one of Ammut's socks results in dozens of socks eating him.
* HaveANiceDeath: True to the genre, this trope is in full effect. Luckily, the game autosaves just before... which is a good indicator that this your PlayerCharacter is about to die.
* HumanAlien: All alien races encountered in the game look humanoid.
* MegaCorp: The Squeegmart Corporation is stated to be extremely powerful, having dozens of planets under their economic thumb. They are based on planet SET, which is at war with the ancient and mysterious Umarians.
* PlayerCharacter: Throughout the game, the viewpoint changes between Ammut, Bik, and Talandra.
* RayGun: Surprisingly, Ammut's blaster ends up being pretty useful in solving many puzzles.
* RidiculouslyHumanRobots: The storage robot encountered by Ammut aboard the Umarian ship is deeply depressed, constantly sighing at the menial work he's assigned. After [[spoiler:Ammut causes it to be destroyed by a security robot, it uploads itself to Bik's Gametron and starts plotting revenge]].
* SatiatingSandwich: The crew of the Laterous absolutely loves sandwiches. One of the first tasks in the game is finding the ingredients, then making and eating one before rescuing the ship.
* SequelHook: The ending shows half a dozen Umarian ships heading for Earth.
* ShoutOut: Tons. Just to mention a few...
** Hours are called "arns" on planet SET.
** Just before killing a monster by feeding it a grenade and shooting the grenade, Ammut quotes Chief Brody (minus "bitch").
** Tatenen always wears something similar to Geordi's VISOR. Fitting, since he's the Laterouss engineer.
* ShownTheirWork: The scene with the fire aboard the Laterous. If you shut off the ArtificialGravity, the typical pointy yellow flames suddenly turn into more compact blue fireballs. This is actually what happens with fire in zero-g. Putting out the fire involves .
* StraightMan: Tatenen is the smarter and less adventure-hungry than Ammut. He doesn't like Ammut's tendency for getting them into trouble. He's not a PlayerCharacter and frequently stays on the ship.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Bik never does find out what happened to the other kids on the camping trip... or his dog.
* YouHaveFailedMe: The CEO of Squeegmart has a penchant for getting rid of assistants who fail him. He warns his current assistant about the fate of his predecessor.
