** Nugs look like the subterranean hybrid of rabbits and pigs. Although they're a tasty delicacy to the dwarves, some people apparently domesticate them; in fact, you can acquire a nug for [[ActionGirl Leliana]], which she will name Schmooples. They are actually kind of cute, though their constant squeaking is a bit annoying to the point that Oghren will threaten to [[EatTheDog eat Schmooples]].

** ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon'' introduces Mimikyu, a [[OurGhostsAreDifferent Ghost]]-[[OurFairiesAreDifferent Fairy]] type that tries to emulate Pikachu by using [[BedsheetGhost a cloth]] [[PaperThinDisguise poorly fashioned to look like a Pikachu]]. Its drawn-on "face" looks like a child scribbled it on, and its actual eyes peek out of the ''torso'' of its rag-disguise. However, its doll-like appearance and status as TheWoobie make it just as much of a RidiculouslyCuteCritter as the Pokemon it's trying to pass off as.
** The Mareanie line is also very cute. Even losing the CuteLittleFangs in exchange for a JaggedMouth does not really change that.
** Gligar is a flying scorpion-bat with a huge stinger and claws. Perhaps these exaggerated features contribute to its charm, as well as its big eyes, its treatment of Ash in the anime, and its expressive tongue.
** Pyukumuku is based on a sea cucumber, and its signature trait is turning its digestive tract inside-out. Its name is even a portmanteau of "cucumber," "puke," and "mucus." However, [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:PyukumukuCollectionSun20.jpg it has curious little eyes and a round, pudgy shape]]. *** The Bokoblins in this game have a more overtly monstrous and inhuman appearance than in previous games. However, their large eyes and pig-like ears and snouts come across as more cute than threatening. And with the attention to detail given to them in this particular game, observing them simply [[VillainsOutShopping doing their own thing out in the wild]] can be endearing. And apparently Nintendo agrees; not only were they sold as a plush to promote the game, they're the only enemy in the game besides the Guardian Stalker to get their own amiibo.
