Anyway, I'm whizzerd (lower-case intentional). I don't know why I decided on a bad spelling of 'wizard' for my name; I don't think I even knew when I decided on it. I'm from Scotland and I have three cats, which I mention because one of those assholes is probably sitting on me as you read this.

You can find me in Forum Games, the Roleplay forums, or editing the pages of whatever's caught my interest that week. I prefer to clean up pages rather than create my own.

Long story short: JerkassGods wanted to throw down with each other, but were so powerful that they would end up inadvertently destroying worlds in the process. They granted superpowers onto Earth-based humans so that they could fight as their representatives instead. Gale was also chosen to act as an unbiased referee to said fights, and was given immortality for that reason.

Because of collateral damage and the way that the rules work, Gale often dies gruesomely (and [[BloodyHilarious hilariously]]). If the representatives break the rules, Gale is temporarily granted god-tier powers and becomes an ImplacableWoman until the rule-breakers are taken care of. After a couple of decades Gale has accepted their new role in life, and has made a point to enjoy the perks of immortality in-between the bouts of dying horribly.

* BlessedWithSuck: Recovering from any injury and not aging past her prime is great. Getting to feel the pain of a thousand deaths, not so much.
* TheChewToy: A couple of gods have admitted to enjoying Gale's inevitable deaths much more than the actual fights.
* CompleteImmortality: She can't physically age, and can recover from ''any'' form of injury.
* {{Delinquents}}: Pre-immortality she used to skip school often, hang out with other disillusioned youths, and cause general ruckus around her neighbourhood. While she's moved beyond that behavior she's still thought of as one, since she doesn't go to school despite appearing to be a teenager.
* DissonantSerenity: Years of experience have caused her to become much more tranquil during the fighters' destructive battles than one would expect. Said fighters are a little creeped out by it.
* ImplacableWoman: Normally she's the weakest person to be involved with the competition. When the rules are broken, however, she becomes infused with the power of gods and becomes ''completely'' unstoppable.
* IronButtMonkey: Has suffered from more injuries than all of the representatives combined, but luckily (?) has regenerative immortality to help recover from it.
* LadyLooksLikeADude: Her flat chest and lack of any stereotypically feminine characteristics causes confusion over her gender, both in-universe and out.
* LivingForeverIsAwesome: She's genuinely psyched at getting to live forever and experience the world's many changes over time. It's just the horrible deaths that come with it that she has a problem with.
* MellowFellow: Living for so long has mellowed Gale out to the point that she's almost always relaxed. Even in the middle of battle.
* NiceGirl: One of the nicest people to be involved in the competition. She's on good terms with most of the fighters ''and'' the gods because of it, even the ones who enjoy her various inevitable demises.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Gale was given immortality as a young adult, and hasn't physically aged since then. As such, she's decades older than what she appears to be.
* OnlyOneName: She stopped using her last name once she gained immortality, and she's since distanced herself from her new generation of relatives. Odds are likely that Gale isn't even her real first name.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: When granted god powers, she becomes emotionless and unrelentingly dangerous. All but the most inexperienced fighters know it's a terrible sign when she gets in that state.
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent: Prior to gaining immortality she was an average girl with an average (if tumultuous) high school life. She now no longer attends school despite appearing to still be the appropriate age.
* PerpetualSmiler: Used to be a PerpetualFrowner, but the years have turned that frown upside down.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Her brown eyes change colour into a more striking yellow/gold when she's given the mystical powers of the gods.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: She has the unfortunate habit of dying in almost every fight that she referees. It's rarer for her to make it through a fight ''without'' dying somehow.
* TomboyishPonytail: She's tried many hairstyles throughout the years, but always defaults back to this. She doesn't care enough about her appearance to get it regularly cut, but also doesn't want the hair getting in her eyes.
* TookALevelInKindness: In her mortal days she was a {{Jerkass}} deliquent who'd fight for petty reasons and generally act as a bother to everyone. It's hard to believe given her laid-back, friendly nature nowadays.
* TrueNeutral: She was specifically chosen because she had no strong inclinations towards any alignment. Originally this meant that she was only out for herself, but since her kindness upgrade it now means that she takes the opinions of all sides into consideration.
* TheWatcher: Her purpose in the gods' competition is to simply observe and referee any battles that break out.

* ActionSurvivor: They manage to survive a series of nights against the increasingly dangerous robotics with limited equipment and a lack of weapons.
* BadassNormal: They fare quite well against murderous animatronics, despite just being an everyday joe with no notable skills or powers.
* FeaturelessProtagonist: Very little is known about their appearance and personality.
* InHarmsWay: Part of the reason why they continue to work at Fazbears' despite the obvious dangers involved is because of the adrenaline rush that surviving the nights brings.
* ThroughTheEyesOfMadness: The mental and physical strain from working at Fazbears' starts to take its toll on them, and they begin to suffer from hallucinations the longer into the week they get.

* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: One of the enemies they're forced to survive against is their own EnemyWithin. [[spoiler: They end up losing against it, and it commandeer their body in order to kill them both.]]
* BloodyHorror: Various close calls with the animatronics causes them to become quite blood-splattered later in the week, showcasing the true horror of their situation.
* CynicismCatalyst: Working at Fazbear's causes them to become more cold and stoic as they have to stow away their emotions in favour of pragmatism.
* EnemyWithin: Whether real or just symbolic of their SanitySlippage, there's a [[http://cs624826.vk.me/v624826480/1d723/aTztQnXLA2U.jpg creature]] in them that is out for their blood.
* EyeObscuringHat: The cap they wear as part of their guard uniform casts an obscuring shadow over their features... except when the EnemyWithin pops up with sinister {{red eyes|take warning}}.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: The sport glowing crimson eyes whenever they're evil self takes over, which become more detailed and monstrous the more the monster is in control.
* SanitySlippage: As the nights go on they start becoming more heavily affected by their environment, hallucinating and losing their sense of self.
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: Averted; they do actually bring a firearm along with them to fight against the animatronics. It just doesn't work too well against supernatural beings. [[spoiler:It also ends up backfiring when their other side takes control and uses the gun to commit double-suicide.]]

* AmbiguousGender: While the guards from the games are all male, this version has no stated gender and doesn't particularly care what other people think they are.
* CasualDangerDialogue: The longer they stay at Fazbear's the more desensitized and [[DissonantSerenity unnaturally serene]] they become, to the point that they can hold casual conversations online while still fighting for their life.
* HeroicSacrifice: The other reason why they keep working at Fazbear's; so that some other poor soul doesn't have to do the terrifyingly dangerous job instead.
* NoNameGiven: Unlike Mike Schmidt from the game, they don't give out their name and simply refer to themself as the Guard.
* TheSpeechless: They're mute, and so require the use of a PDA to communicate with others.

Originally created as an OC for a Persona-based roleplay, Masumi spent a few years starring in off-site stories before returning here for the Emotionally Attuned RP.

Her character varies depending on the setting, but what remains constant is that Masumi is a stoic youth and earnest photographer. They can be nice or they can be off-putting, but they rarely have bad intentions at heart.

Masumi in the Persona universe has psychological issues related to their lack of self-identity, especially in regards to their uncertain gender. This is most blatantly shown in their Shadow, a representation of all the dark, nasty thoughts that Masumi had shoved away into the back of their mind. Once they accepted those issues, Masumi was able to gain a Persona and use its guidance to gain a better understanding of both themself and the world around them.

Masumi in the Emotionally Attuned universe is more stoic, less outgoing, and completely obsessed with discovering the truth about ''everything''. This worsened when she was given a mysterious mask that amplified her curiosity and granted her powers related to it, sacrificing her other emotions in the process. What follows is nothing short of a mess as she struggles to retain her humanity while trying to unveil the mystery behind the masks.

* AmateurSleuth: In the Persona verse they end up investigating a local string of suicides out of lack for anything better to do. In general she frequently takes on cases of theft, disappearances, and other shady activities in order to satisfy her curiosity, and frequently has to sneak around the actual authorities in order to do so.
* {{Asexuality}}: As are [[AuthorAppeal a lot of characters that I create]], Masumi has no interest in romance or sexuality.
* AuthorAvatar: When I first created her. Her issues with self-identity and gender were both reflective of my own real life issues, as are her asexuality and her difficulties in interacting with people. She's started to branch off from this as I've started developing other facets of her character.
* BlowYouAway: One of Ehecatl's main abilities is the power to use Garu spells ("wind spells" as they're depicted in the SMT games). This is inspired from the actual deity's status as the pre-Columbian god of wind.
* CameraFiend: A constant of Masumi's character is their fascination with photography. They're aware that they can take it to an obsessive extreme, but they're too fixated with documenting everything to try and abstain from it.
* ConstantlyCurious: Masumi is incredibly inquisitive, to the point that they're unable to let go of a subject once it's caught their interest. It's more exaggerated in the Emotion verse, where she struggles to socialise because of it, and become even more {{flanderized}} when the Curiosity Mask starts altering her emotions.
* CoveredInScars: Emotion verse Masumi has picked up an impressive amount of scars; partly because of bad luck, and partly because she frequently trespasses into dangerous areas. None of them are bad enough to actually debilitate her though.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: Part of their issues in the Persona verse is not knowing who they really are, and thus what they want to do with their life. The obvious route would to be follow a career in photography, but even armed with that knowledge they're nervous about what the future holds for them.
* EnemyScan: One aspect of her mask's power allows her to retrieve data about a subject by observing it. If she focuses on a particular subject while doing so then she'll pick up data relating to that subject. This can cause issues since it's a rather obvious invasion of privacy.
* {{Expy}}: Some of her characteristics- her masculine appearance, stoicism, and inquisitiveness- were based on [[VideoGame/Persona4 Naoto Shirogane]]. The image for them is actually an edited sprite of Naoto from ''VideoGame/Persona4Arena''.
* FatalFlaw:
** Curiosity in the Emotion verse. She struggles with conversations because her curiosity about everything around her distracts her so much, and she frequently puts herself in danger because she's too interested to seek a safer, more mundane way out.
** Their lack of self-identity in the Persona verse, which causes them great amounts of uncertainty and worry. This is shown through their [[ShadowArchetype Shadow]], who takes that undesirable aspect and exaggerates it in order to aggravate Masumi.
* InterpretativeCharacter: At their core Masumi is a curious, stoic, Asian photographer. Anything beyond that- gender, powers, flaws, and other personality traits- depend on which roleplay I'm using them in.
* JackOfAllStats: Ehecatl starts out as a balanced Persona, with a physical attack, magic attack, healing spell, and a confusion spell. As he levels up he leans more towards magical offense and status infliction, but is still a decent all-rounder.
* MaskOfPower: The [[http://www.mypapercraft.net/wp-content/uploads/owl-mask.jpg mask]] that she's given in the Emotion verse grants her various powers related to her most prominent emotion. She can't use said powers unless she's wearing the mask, but wearing it also carries the risk of altering her personality.
* MeaningfulName: Masumi is written with the characters 真 (true) and 澄 (clear, pure). Besides fitting with ''Persona 4'''s theme of 'facing the truth', it also reflects Masumi's deductive, frank nature.
* NoSocialSkills: She can handle herself in most roleplays, but she has miserable social skills in the Emotion verse. She frequently rambles to herself in the middle of conversations, constantly asks questions with little regard as to how uncomfortable she can make people, and has to remind herself to show courtesy and express emotion at the right times.
* PersonalityPowers: The gimmick of the emotion masks is that they can grant someone power relating to that person's strongest emotion. Masumi's interest in people grants her {{telepathy}}, while her interest in the world manifests itself as the ability to obtain data about anything she focuses on.
* SeekerArchetype: She's endlessly intrigued by the world and all its inhabitants, to the point of obsession. Nothing grabs her interest more than an unanswered question or incomplete fact.
* SensoryOverload: Downplayed, but she can space out in crowds if there's too many people talking at once- "too many branches of inquiry to follow". She has to step back and sort through her thoughts before she's ready to interact with them properly.
* TheStoic: Masumi is a naturally inexpressive person, though the severity depends on the universe- sometimes they'll show muted emotions, sometimes they'll barely show anything at all.
* SweetPollyOliver: They used to dress in the male school uniform in order to discover whether they felt more comfortable presenting as a boy. That turned out to not exactly be the case, but they still prefer wearing the trousers as opposed to the skirt.
* {{Telepathy}}: Part of her mask's power allows Masumi to form a telepathic connection with other people. She needs their permission to do so, however, and can't otherwise read their minds or influence them in any way.
* {{Transgender}}: Depending on which roleplay it is. Masumi ranges from a cis girl, to agender, to a genderfluid person who identifies as both. In any case she uses she/her and they/them pronouns interchangeably.
* TheUnfettered: There's very little they won't do to pursue a subject once it interests them. That includes breaking into out-of-bound areas, borderline harassing people who have information, and ignoring schoolwork in favour of creating theories and speculations.
* {{Workaholic}}: She has a bad habit of asking too many questions and ending up with too many investigations. It ends with her forgoing food or sleep in her fervor to solve them all before others crop up.

Because of collateral damage and the way that the rules work, Gale often dies gruesomely (and [[BloodyHilarious hilariously]]). If the representatives break the rules, Gale is temporarily granted god-tier powers and becomes an ImplacableMan until the rule-breakers are taken care of. After a couple of decades Gale has accepted their new role in life, and has made a point to enjoy the perks of immortality in-between the bouts of dying horribly.
