So, my favorite "classic" (for me as of the time of this writing) cartoon is ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' (and its spinoff, ''WesternAnimation/PinkyAndTheBrain''). So much wacky, goofy, zany humor, providing much laughter.
My favorite "modern" cartoon is probably ''WesternAnimation/{{Kaijudo}}: Rise of the Duel Masters''. In my opinion, cartoons these days try way too hard to be DarkerAndEdgier. This show, on the other hand, gets it right: it has the perfect balance of dark tones and humor. We've got the {{Wham Episode}}s, for example, but also lines like "TATSURION... would probably cost us our security deposit, sorry, Bob."
