"Skylander" is the second largest Old Blood People. Their history is marked for both tragedy and glory, defined by both their Grandiose Empire and their opression after its downfall during the Century of Chaos.
Descendants from explorers from multiple Old World Cultures, especially Incan and Tibetan. The Sky Empire covered two continents and spread its influence across the whole world by overwhelming strenght until they were conquered by the First Generation of Explorers, who proceeded to abuse their subjects.

Nowadays, Skylanders is a broken identity that has shattered into many different lineages that identify with specific figures. However, their proud tradition and desire for a new empire are common factors to all of those groups.

Most Skylanders in the Modern Day live on Rural conditions, conditions that are threatened by the constant global change.

Tropes that Apply to all Skylanders:

* TheEmpire: The Sky Empire, a continent spanning empire that ruled the Pure World. Organized, bureaucratic and ruthless when needed, the Skylander Empire was a fearsome enemy towards all peoples that resisted their rule and--according to multiple people--was extremely fond of Population Reductions and forced marriages. The reality is that the Empire had both ups and lows, with their last Emperor outright trying to reform the empire into a more Modern Empire only to be attacked despite his efforts.
* HegemonicEmpire: The goal of the Last Emperor Juan, basing his visions into the geopolitics of the New World. Even nowadays, that is the vision of modern Imperial Revivalists. Juan's last words even offer citizenship of the empire for "every opressed peoples". If this is genuine, a desesperate attempt to get support from whoever he could or both is debated InUniverse.
* FinalSolution:
** Ethnic Cleansing, or "Cultural Decimation" was a policy used for the Empire. It was used extensively during the rule of Emperor Amari, especially towards their Fingolians Rivals or the Forrestfolk people.
** They also were victims of this both in the Old World (in fact, they escaped from European Colonization) and also in the New World. The Fourth Grand Terror in ''Axis Mundi'' being the clearest example of this, with 16% of their population being exterminated. Other small

'''Setting'''

Manga/WorldEmbryo is a manga by the creator of Manga/ChronoCrusade, Moriyama Daisuke.

Riku Amami, your average OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent, receives a message from his long-lost step-aunt and adoptive sister (complicated family tree, his father is marrying a younger woman who had a even younger sister), Amane.

He goes to the hospital and ends up discovering the existence of the Kanshuu, monsters that exist thanks to a infection that spreads via cellphones. Riku is attacked by them but is saved for his best friend, part of a organization named FLAG, and finds a mysterious cocoon, which once Riku touches it promptly kills the Kanshuu. The next day Riku wakes up in his bed and wonders if it all was a dream. Then he spots the cocoon sitting next to his bed.

Later that day at school, when the egg hatches, is not a monster, but a little girl closely resembling Amane when she was only a kid...

The story is...long and extremely full of twists. Now, out first candidate is nothing but...Amane herself.

Amane Sasamori, she really was adopted as the SoleSurvivor of a accident that killed the mother of his adoptive sister.

It turned out that Amane was the only person able to see the Embryo after the lethal accident on Masaki island, that retconned the city out of existence. She grew up lonely but she kept a smile, even if knowing the AwfulTruth of humanity (all of humans are already Kanshuu, is just that the infection breaks the illusion mask. It isn't really as awful as the plot implies, but eh).

Amane had the power to help the victims of Lost Rebound, survivors of Kanshuu attacks with memory lost and works together with Tougo's brother, who eventually betrayed and tried to capture her for experiments of FLAG in order to try to discover her real nature.

...the experiment goes badly and the brother is trapped inside the Embryo, driving him to insanity.

Now, Amane goes there and becomes a Coffin Princess, she recreates herself into a chrysalid that she sends to his brother Riku, that one being Neene.

Amane realizes that the Embryo is going to collapse and spill its corruption to the world, driving everyone to insanity in a way that nothing could be saved. So Amane desires to turn everyone into Kanshus herself and thus save their minds at the very least. However, to do this, Amane takes the role of villain.

Eventually, taking advantage of Shirou Kurosawa's plans, Amane is able to use Neene's body as her own. Becoming the Coffin Pricess Amane and spreading the infecction while breaking the masquerade of FLAG and NEFT.

Riku defies her and Neene promises to play a game in which if FLAG wins, she will spread the infection but she will give up if she loses.

The day of the game, Amane plays the game and forces the users to fight memories of their loved ones until she reveals that it was a plan to attrack all the Jinki users and thus being able to traspass the barries put for the Coffin princess Julie.

She almost suceeds if it wasn't for TheHeroine Rena and AntiHero Takao, who manage to ruin her plans, with Takao personally killing her interrupting her fight with Riku...before Rena's herself is possesed for the despair of the deaths of the island due to the Embryo's curruption.

Rena recover and becomes a new coffin princess, but Amane's mind is erases. As she is erased, she orders Neene to help Rena and apologizes to Riku, truly sorry of her actions.

Leader of SEBEC Japanese branch, Kandori is influenced for Nyarlatoteph to become God and judge humanity, believing that nature would be saved (the latter is manga only).

Kandori use Maki Sonomura for his experiments and ends up making her create a alternate world, when he visited it, he ended up meeting Aki, who separated from her GoodCounterpart Mai and befriended him so much that Kandori ended up treating her as his daughter. At the beggining, he also personally shoots Maki's mother.

The protagonist confront him two times,he leaves the first time but the second time, they fight in his Mana Castle aafter Kandori had already beaten his half brother and insulted his mother just to annoy him. They end up losing, but Kandori teleports them to their school as he enjoys the antics of the Snow Queen.

Kandori manipulates the heroes using Aki and the Manga OC Kazuya Toudou as his CoDragons throught the series, so he could steal the Chaos Mirror shards from them and becomes God as in the game, causing many disasters in a attempt to end the world. He is later discovered to having being influenced from Nyarlatothep, who takes control of his body briefly but is defeated for Nanjo and Kandori's own will, who manages to come back and apologize for his crimes, trying to make for it by telling them the truth of their situation.

Ultimately, Kandori was a DeathSeeker that tried to fill the void by becoming a deity and realized his mistakes too late.

Kandori throws his town to a EldritchLocation, but he is a fairly notorious case of EvenEvilHasLovedOnes, he truly loves Aki as a daughter and is clear that is mutual.

While he insults his half brother for being a illegitimate son, is later made clear that is isn't from actual bigotry, but rather because Kandori is a closeted DeathSeeker that wants to be killed.

Oh yes. He keeps the cards thought the series and while he was influence for Nyarly, he didn't lose agency for it until Nyarly posessed him using his negative emotions, and even then, Kandori was able to contain him after listening to Nanjo and accepting his criticism of him.

There nobody in the series as grandiose as him, Kandori is a man who knows no limits.

Oh yes, he truly loves Aki and shows a suave, deliciously arrogant yet charming attitude. His arrogance isn't disgusting, but rather enchances his charisma.

He eventually ends up admitting his mistakes and helps the heroes with his last moments, which gives him a lot of points.

The manga faithfully adopted Kandori's charisma and redeeming traits, making him a charismatic, smart and grandiose villain, of which even his own shadow, Nyarlatoteph, could fully tame.

'''Who is Kazuya Toudou?'''

Seemingly, Kazuya was the ghost of TheHero Naoya Toudou's twin brother who died in the past.

He reveals himself to the main characters during the fight with Chisato Kasai where he uses the mirrors to pretend be Naoya only to turn on the party. When Naoya finally arrives, he introduces himself properly and afterwards, in the Lost Forest, Kazuya reappears to attack Naoya, who was unable to call his Persona but was saved by Mai.

He works in conjunction with Aki as one of Kandori's CoDragons, but he saves Eriko Kirishima from Kandori for his own amusement. Despite that, he still loathes Naoya.

After defeating Kandori, Kazuya and Aki showed Naoya the memory when his grieving mother mistook Naoya as Kazuya, making Naoya question his own identity until he started to remember the past that his memory repressed when Kazuya died.

Once he remembered everything, Naoya finally realised that "Kazuya" was not the real Kazuya, something which 'Kazuya' confirmed. He was the manifestation of Naoya's guilt and self-hatred for being alive.

He then stabbed Naoya. Aki appeared and taunted "Kazuya", revealing that she never has any intention to make him a real person and only gave him false hope so she can enjoy his despair. Kazuya then started to disappear, but was saved for Naoya. Naoya finally decides to accept Kazuya as part of himself. With this acceptance, Kazuya returned inside Naoya, ceasing from existence and hugging him, with both parts accepting each other.

Kazuya is a crafty bastard that always had a trick, usually with a item. He isn't a mastermind as Kandori, but he doesn't need to be, given that he plays the role of a personal antagonist to Naoya. His lose is due to a factor that he had no way of controlling, such as Aki's whims.

Kazuya is a dick that guilt trips Naoya at every moment, but he had clear moments of compassion such as saving Eriko, sure, that was also a ItAmusedMe moment, but it was also a PetTheDog moment.

More importantly, Kazuya is a character that just don't stop smiling smuggly, having a charm of confidence that just don't dissapears.

He had a bit of a breakdown at Aki's betrayal, but he calmed down as soon Naoya accepted him and while he was initially angry at him, he vanished smiling, asking Naoya's to not forget his words.

He works with Aki and Kandori, he guilt trips Naoya, he enjoys messing with his friends.

However, at the end, he is clearly a shadow born of guilt that secretly, just wanted to be accepted.

The man behind the program that turned Kurone in what she is. He is ruthless man that serves TheEmpire for his own volition and suplies them with a variant of elite assasins that are created via drugs and brainwashing.

When they lose a member in a assasination, he punishes the group by leaving them without their so-needed drugs for a night. He euthanizes a member that, while surviving and healthy, wasn't unable to fight. He tells that her death wasn't painful, but her face...let's say that it doesn't look like the face of someone that died a painless death.

His rampant abuse is seen during the series, with him treating his squad as expendable at levels that even his companion "Father" don't reach, because Father genuinely had some care even if he is willing to sacrifice his crew.

The world is filled with many, many politicians, of many moralities...thought the Syndicalists will always end up as nice pure leftists unless they become Totalists, let's be honest, the game is really biased towards them. Sure, there bad syndies in minor third world countries, but in cases such as the (unsurprisingly popular and well known scenerio) Second American Civil War, they are saints in most cases.

And...it isn't hard to see why when their Right Wing enemy is lead for someone as this guy.

Ok, let's put the situation easy. The Great Depression is even worse and both Right and Left are angry with the status quo. The Left becomes syndicalist (As socialism died with Lenin in the Russian civil war) and eventually...''someone'' will do a coup (in most cases, the war can be avoided, but is ''really'' hard).

America is divided on three factions, the original democracy (who can be turned into a millitar dictatorship if Mac Arthur goes full dick), The Combined Syndicates of America and the The American Union State, of which the America First Party forms a big part.

And well, Willain Dudley Pellew is its leader and he's...awful, leading the National Populist (basically "fascists" by other name) faction of the America First Union Party. He is known for his support of racialism and Christian fundamentalism and while he works with the more tolerant Huey Long, they both hate each other and only work together due to a mutual hate towards Leftism.

Now, if his faction win the war...that is where the shit begins.

If Pellew wins, he makes the KKK an active part of the new government, turns Christianity into the state religion and purges any non-believers, creates forced labor camps for anyone who opposes the regime (branded as syndicalists), including any non-whites, creating something that can just be described as the American Apartheid. He is also a rabbid anti-vaxxed, whose fanatism ends up causing the biggest polio outbreak in America.

His victory is THE DownerEnding to a USA campaign. If the AUS wins, Pellew, George Van Horn Moseley (who can be described as Light Pelley with a focus in capitalism) and Long will purge each other. With a Long victory neuterizing Pelley for good.

Basically, dude is the HateSink of the game.

A mysterious teenager known as the Jinki hunter. Takao goes and kill Jinki users alongside seemingly random people. Deemed a thread to FLAG, he turns to be much more.

Takao used to be a children living with his strict family on Mashiro island, he was taking care of Julie, the coffin princess. Takao got fond of her and helped her to become stronger by taking others memories.

He befriend Shirou Kurosawa and helped him in his plan to steal the chrysallid that could create Coffin princesses. But he was pressured for his family to betray him. Shirou lose his girlfriend (who was also Takao's teacher) and got into a revenge rampage where he created a new Coffin princess with Takao's help and then re-started the Kanshuu infection, killing almost everyone in the island sans Shirou himself, Takao, TheHeroine and her adoptive mother.

Takao was saved for Julie, who got broken and turned into the multiple cores that gives their powers to the Jinki users. Takao was determined to save her and try to return his home island to reality, so he went and started to work with Shirou, who hide his crime from him.

Shirou betrayed him and framed him as a teenager murderer by turning his new schoolmates into Kanshuus and forcing Takao to kill him. Takao started to kill the Jinki users and people with the risk of becoming Kanshuu, many of them already transformed but keeping seeming normality.

Takao continues with his hunts in a depressing routine that even his brief encounter with the heroes don't finish.

Until he meets a girl that fanboys him, a girl that Takao saved the same day that he killed his classmates at the eyes of Tokyo. She is a crazy fangirl that loves the idea of Takao The Teen Killer, but Takao can't but accept her help due to being badly hurt.

Takao ends up becoming fond of her, but as her father is revealed to be a type of Kanshuu and they are attacked, she is fatally hurt. Takao tries to go to the hospital, but she dies as he talks to her.

Takao ends up allying with Riku Amami, friend of the girl that blames himself for her death as much as Takao and they end up going against Shirou, whom they both despise. The fight ends with Takao being able to discover Shirou's real body and Riku killing him for once as Shirou lose control of his beloved coffin princess.

Takao and Julie fight against and manage, alongside with Neene, to stop her. But Julie ends up dying and Takao is devastated.

Takao re-appears at the FinalFight against the above mentioned Amane and convinces TheHeroine to become a coffin princess as she was destined to do, revealing to be working with the spirits of the inhabitants of the island. She accepts and they manage to interrupt the duel between Riku and Amane, with Takao himself dealing a lethal cut into Amane.

The spirits ends up betraying them, revealing to be part of the Corruption inside the World Embryo, but the Coffin Princesses manage to stop them. Takao ends up posessed for TheCorruption...but he is willing to let himself to be killed for Riku in order to save the world. Ultimately, Takao manages to be saved.

Years later, in the epilogue, is revealed that Takao was in jail for his killings of Jinki users but is freed to chase the new supervillain Suraga, who is nothing but Riku himself. Takao fights Riku as they resolve their differences. Takao is able to see Riku real intentions to recover the memories of his girlfriend and ask him to stop and admits them. Riku admits his goal to Takao and the fight is stopped for the reveal that the Coffin Princesses and Takao himself wanted to help Riku all along as a way to thanks him.

Takao is one crafty teen who goes against enemies stronger than him, a truly able combatant that knows himself. He knows the rituals of his people and plans into using to save the world, suceeding despite a impossible to predict betrayal. Sure, he was initially outsmarted for Shirou, but Shirou was a adult while he was a naive children or teen, by the present, he had grown out of it.

Takao hunts other Jinki users without mercy alongside humans that still haven't become Kanshuu. However, he is far from being cruel, he is just cold. He wants to protect Julie and revive his island, a noble goal.

An outspoken populist, Long is best known for his ''Share Our Wealth'' program, and its motto "Every Man A King", that proposes new wealth redistribution measures aimed at revitalizing the working class in America.

When the American Civil War happens for either his acts, his rival Reed or McArthur own coup. Huey Long would lead the America Union State, filled with all sorts of unpleasants people...sans Long himself.

If he wins, he will let his Minutemen, his own brown shirts run and scare Syndicalists. He would declare himself PresidentForLife and would purge his (despicable) allies to secure his power.

Long is a populist that become a dictator, obvious bastard. But as dictators in KR go...Long is pretty damn benevolent. Long legit wants to better America, just that he loathes and mistrust the Syndicalists to do it.

Long is a skilled politician, able to be a capable war leader as much as a politician. He creates his own ideology in order to be counter the Syndies.

That is Long big forte, he is charismatic leader able to get many right wing groups work together. He works with extreme racists...but he isn't racist himself, with the racism being one of the reasons why he eventually would purge Pelley and Moseley.

Note that he is Southerner, that he is not openly racist is kind of a miracle for his time-period.
