I'm some random guy from Rhode Island. And I edit TheOtherWiki [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Doc_Strange using the same name]] (i'm semi-retired now) as i'm not very creative with usernames. [[ImNotADoctorButIPlayOneOnTV I'm not an actual doctor, either]]. Trust me, [[DidNotDoTheResearch some people on Wikipedia have asked if I was one]], oblivious to the reference to [[DoctorStrange The Sorcerer Supreme]].

I've been on TV Tropes since at least late 2008. I think maybe late Autumn, I'm not really sure. I was almost certainly on here before New Year's Day 2009. But before that? A blurry blur. I don't remember what chain of links brought me to this site, either (but it was most likely via [=StumbleUpon=]).

I consider myself to be an average, nondescript troper, but apparently I unintentionally coined [[TipsWorksheet Edit Tip #1]] in [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=06u5h68x8pghx2gh9eet9kv5 this famous forum thread I started]] about the disappearance of indents. You see, I mentioned that without indents, some TroperTales page looked as if similar stories were all written by the same person, as many people indent similar stories after an initial story. Fast Eddie [[IThoughtItMeant thought I meant]] the actual articles, but since he knows more than me, I decided "[[SureWhyNot Eh, who cares if I was misinterpreted, he has a point]]" (about the articles seeming as if they're written by one person, not the TroperTales. It's a sentiment that cuts down on natter). [[TheMoreYouKnow Aren't you glad you asked?]].

My favorite pages on TV Tropes are CowboyBebopAtHisComputer, RealLifeWritesThePlot subpages, WhatCouldHaveBeen and AluminumChristmasTrees, and i'm also quite keen on the whole range of DidNotDoTheResearch tropes (including YouFailIndexesForever) and the UsefulNotes pages. So as you might imagine, I quite like {{Trivia}} pages.

I'm mainly here for Trivia pages and ThatGuyWithTheGlasses stuff, but I may occasionally post in the forum threads about ThatGuyWithTheGlasses. Otherwise i'm not here as much as I used to be.

Why don't I post here that much anymore -- and considering leaving the site? Because [[http://www.themarysue.com/tv-tropes-restores-rape-tropes-but-disturbing-questions-remain/ if stuff like this]] is true, then this site is morally bankrupt and I don't want to be apart of a community that allows such awful shit to go on.

I used to post in the TGWTG forums under the same name, but I don't really go there much anymore.
