this books aren't read very extensively in the US (and to be fair, the translations I've read are rather lackluster) so I'm sorry, I guess.

*As you will eventually notice, i like divagating and i dont get tired while doing it.

*Even nobody cares and nobody asked for it, i hereby will explain what my name means and my own personal interpertation that is oh so intellectual and pretentious. WARNING shit will get long.

*Aenima, which is the name of a song and the third album of Tool, a band that loves mindfucks, and a name i took for myself without first investigating fully what the hell did it mean; is a word coined as a mixture of ''Anima'', which means soul and ''Enema'' which means a medical procedure of rectal cleansing. So an enema is basically a doctor probing your anus.
This word is meant to refer to "soul cleansing", but some alternate interpretations include "anal exploration of the soul" and "spiritual asshove". My own needlessly complicated interpretation is that for own thing, enemas ''arent pleasant''; ive never had one thank god, yet i have problems seeing someone actually having one for sheer pleasure; thus making it one of those medical procedures done out of necessity and that make you feel unconfortable in a great many of ways, and yet you have to do it in order to avoid serious problems. So how does this concept apply to a soul? If you see the soul as i do, that is as an abstract representation of the ''escence'' of your persona, encassing your conscience and your personality, the idea of a part of yourself that makes you be yourself; then ''aenima'' is a painful cleaning of your own soul, which fills you with shame yet is caried out of sheer necessity as something that despite all that could be said against it, you simply need to do it in order to survive. Therefore my interpretation of aenima is related to growing up, of accepting those characteristics of yourself that you are not beacause you want to be but rather beacause you cant stop being, something much easier said than done; it is related to the deepest, most difficult kind of introversion and consequential self-fulfillment, that is, to accept the part of you that you yourself dislike in order to improve what you are after seeing yourself in one fell painful view, with all your limitations, manias and all sorts of defects. Aenima is, therefore, painful, perhaps even bloody, shit-covered Truth of Self.
It may not make any sense as a name, yet i liked giving it its meaning.
If you managed to read such WallOfText i thank you.
