* PlayingAgainstType: Doug Langdale was better known for cartoons that were [[WesternAnimation/EarthwormJim utterly]] [[WesternAnimation/ProjectGeeker weird]], then he came up with something that was actually down-to-Earth (even if it was made that way in accordance to FCC rules calling for more educational programming for kids on network TV). * PermanentPlaceholder: When he pitched the show, creator Doug Langdale [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZLVdts-3eA did it on the spot at the end of a failing pitch meeting]] and didn't actually give the cartoon a name. When he got the call from Disney that they were greenlighting it, he learned that someone (no one knows who) decided to call it "The Weekenders" as a placeholder title. He even recalls that Michael Eisner loved everything about the show other than the name, so he promised to give it a better one, only to never get around to doing so.
