* MetaCasting: A {{Subversion}} of this trope. Creator/SeanPenn is (in)famously known for his HairTriggerTemper personality, so it's no surprise that he was cast as one of the titular Birds. The catch is that the Bird Penn voices is Terrence, aka ''the one Bird who doesn't have a single line of dialogue'' and (aside from a couple of grunts) ''is almost always silent''.
