** In 2013, an early version of [=Sea3on=] Animated started production. They got quite a few voice actors, a composer, and a few animators on board. They also created a teaser trailer for it and showed it at various conventions, it was even seen by longtime Sonic comic writer Ian Flynn. However, due to unknown reasons, the project fell through. [=Sea3on=] Animated was revived in 2019, but with an entirely new staff. Other than the teaser trailer being released as a proof of concept, the original version seems to be mostly forgotten.

* OldShame: The early version of Sea3on seems to be this. In the early 2000s, an earlier version of Sea3on was created which had sloppy writing, art that would change panel to panel and ended after only 7 issues. It seems there was some interest in re-releasing it, but the original head of the comic asked for it not too.

** The original Sea3on comic was planned to go on longer, but stopped at 7 issues on a cliffhanger.
** It was based originally on what was available of Ben Hurst’s notes. After he passed however, all of them were released. The comic had already been going on for a while at this point, so certain things that differed from the notes couldn’t be changed at this point. Still, most are fine with it as the story itself is still well written enough to feel like a worthy continuation.
