** In Carrey's defense, filming - or at least, his parts in the movie - wrapped up about a month ''before'' the Sandy Hook Massacre took place. It's one thing to be aware of violence in a piece of fiction, but when it hits closer to home it can get rather uncomfortable to someone personally. Besides possibly taking away some publicity and movie-goers, it probably didn't change much about the film (and any potential sequel to it) since [[spoiler:Carrey's character dies partway into the film.]]
