We have a similar bit on the YMMV in Weird Al Effect, but this is going to be a point of contention. I say this as the person who mostly curates the HB pages and I am a 90s child. At least among us early 90s kids who grew up and remember the Cohen era, those tropes don't apply to us. So I think writing "early" or "late" 90s is a fair compromise on examples like these.
