* OldShame: While he doesn't outright hate the series, Greenblatt is reluctant to talk about the show given how much Nickelodeon [[ScrewedByTheNetwork screwed it over]].

* An animatic for the series was posted on Vimeo, but was later taken down after it was discovered by and shared among fans.

* SecondSeasonDownfall: Harvey Beaks had a relatively successful first season on Nickelodeon, before getting hit HARD with Main/ScrewedByTheNetwork in the second. Less-than-stellar viewership of the "Steampunks" two-parter as well as the other early second season episodes meant the show getting banished to Nicktoons, cancelled shortly thereafter, and burned off its remaining episodes there.

** On June 18, 2018 the show was removed from Nicktoons for unknown reasons but returned in July with a more appropriate afternoon timeslot along with On Demand viewings. Presumably in response to the show being put on Hulu.

* {{Bowdlerization}}: On Nicktoons TV (the UK version), the episode "The Blister" is edited to remove Blister spraying himself in the face with a fire extinguisher (as the UK censors do consider that dangerous behavior with no obvious signs that the action is considered unsafe to copy in real life).

*** After Foo and Fee's parents returned in the Season 2 finale (which ended up being the series finale), they would've moved to Littlebark in Season 3, and the twins would've acted as parents to their own parents. Also, the Season 3 finale wouldn've been about the past of Harvey's grandpa Roland, and what happened to his wife. Afterwards, he would've permanently moved with the family in Season 4.

** The series would've also been named after it's main setting, "LittleBark Grove".

* DawsonCasting: Mostly averted; the kid characters are mostly voiced by [[ChildrenVoicingChildren child actors]]. The primary exceptions are Dade and Princess.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: It's unlikely that this show will ever be released on DVD due to it somehow being an OldShame for Nick. (Despite that it was generally received by most viewers.) The best legal way to watch the series is from iTunes, where each volume costs around $19.99.
** On June 21, 2018, the entire series is now available for streaming on Hulu!
* OldShame: For some reason, Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} is deeply ashamed of the series, despite being well-liked by both kids and adults. The main reason is sort of elusive (One unproven rumor claimed that Nickelodeon felt that audiences weren't ready for such a risky show like this after the critical failure of WesternAnimation/{{Breadwinners}} in 2014.), but the show's creator, C.H. Greenblatt, stated that Nickelodeon unfairly expected the show to be an instant success. Though they sabotaged the show's ratings, as they switched around timeslots, went months in-between episodes, gave it little-to-no advertising, barley aired reruns on their main network, cancelled it after two seasons (Though it was given a very proper finale), and slowly aired the last 15 episodes on Nicktoons throughout 2017. After finishing it's run on December 29, 2017, the show was only (And coldly) brought up by Nick occasionally and reruns only aired on Nicktoons during the 5 AM hour.(However as of July 2018 it has seen reruns weekdays at 5 PM.) It's gotten to the point where they absolutely '''REFUSE''' to release it on DVD. (They were kind enough to put it on Hulu however.)

** Harvey's last name was going to be "Tweets", but Nickelodeon didn't want to get in a lawsuit with Website/Twitter. As a result, they had to change his name to "Beaks" to avoid getting into trouble. (Any Season 1 dialogue with Harvey's last name had to be re-recorded)

* ShortRunInPeru: Despite the finale airing in December 2017 in the US, it aired in some european countries a few months earlier in September. This also affected the other final episodes.

* ScrewedByTheNetwork: As Greenblatt noted, Nickelodeon unfairly expected the show to be an instant success. When it didn't, they switched around timeslots, went months in-between episodes, cancelled it after two seasons, and moved the last episodes to Nicktoons to make room for ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' and ''WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse'' reruns.
