And Creator/ShinpachiTsuji replaces Toku Nishio in the role of Musashi, only to be replaced again with Yasuhiko Kawazu. Shin Vs Neo changes yet AGAIN Musashi's voice actor, this time, to Creator/KiyoyukiYanada.

* DisownedAdaptation: Ken Ishikawa was allegedly not happy with how the "Getter Robo Go'' anime turned out, which is allegedly the reason why he decided to reboot the anime into a DarkerAndEdgier manga with connections to the original ''Getter Robo'' manga.

Special mention in that it forms one of the corners of the "Holy Trinity" of the series, the others being ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}'' and ''Anime/MazingerZ''. Another special mention is that ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsX'' is also the first-console game which Getter is absent.
** Also, most of the time it appears, it's ''Getter Robo G''. ''Armageddon'', however, made a triumphant return in ''VideoGame/{{Super Robot Wars Z}}2'', and has since become SRW's go-to Getter entry, with ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsT T]]'' and ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30 30]]'' letting the ''Armageddon'' version of the old Getter Team pilot the ''Daikessen'' version of Shin Getter Dragon.
** Speaking of ''30'', its 3rd wave of {{DLC}} would also include the debut of the manga ''Getter Robo Devolution'', marking the first time this version of Getter Team received voice actors and featuring exclusive BGM composed by one of the mangaka themselves.

This left Getter Robo Āḥ, the last series chronologically, on a very annoying cliffhanger since the magazine it ran in was cancelled and he was unable to pick it up again before his death. ''Getter Robo Saga,'' a compilation manga made while Ishikawa was alive, glossed over the previous cliffhanger and presented an even worse one. [[spoiler: Arc makes it back to Earth somehow, Kamui pulls a coup of the Dinosaur Empire and develops the anti-Getter weapon "Bug", and beats the crap out of Arc. Then Getter Dragon appears and it just stops there.]]

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Besides Ishikawa's death, Imagawa was the one who directed the first 3 episodes of Armageddon. Everything was shaping up for an intense mystery martial arts mecha mashup with all of Ishikawa's series joining the fray. Then he got sacked, simply for taking a little too long. He took the scripts with him, leaving the replacement director to make up a new story that could make sense of what happened in the first three episodes despite not knowing what the endgame was meant to be.
