** Thanks to ''Getter Arc'''s anime adaptation, it has introduced ''Getter Robo'' to a new audience who had not previously heard of it. The fact that it’s coinciding with the [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30 first ever western release]] of ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' helps.
** Even before that one could argue that ''Armageddon'', specifically its adaptations in Super Robot Wars games brought a lot of people into the franchise, to the point that they still use the ''Armageddon'' interpretations of the characters for the games's [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30 30th anniversary]].

** In the [=OVAs=], both [[Creator/{{HideoIshikawa}} Ryoma's]] and [[Creator/{{NaoyaUchida}} Hayato's]] voice actors are [[Franchise/{{Naruto}} Itachi Uchiha and his ancestor Madara]] respectively. Interesting, in ''Armageddon'', [[Creator/ShinpachiTsuji Musashi]] is also Pakkun, ''Shin and Neo'' have [[Creator/TakahiroSakurai Go]] as Sasori and in ''New'', [[Creator/RomiPark Raikou]] is Temari and Tamonten, one of the Four Heavenly Kings is also [[Creator/{{TesshoGenda}} Kurama]].
** Speaking of New, Heian arc characters [[Creator/{{RomiPark}} Raikou]] and [[Creator/{{TakehitoKoyasu}} Seimei]] are also [[Anime/{{TurnAGundam}} Loran Cehack and Gym Ghingham]] respectively. Fitting, as both Raikou and Loran are [[{{WholesomeCrossdresser}} Heroic Crossdressers]].
** There's also some voice overs from VideoGame/{{Castlevania}}: [[Creator/HideoIshikawa Ryoma]] is Simon Belmont, [[Creator/KiyoyukiYanada Musashi (from Shin vs Neo) and Benkei (from New)]] is Richter Belmont and Shaft and both [[Creator/NaoyaUchida Hayato]] and [[Creator/NorioWakamoto General Bat (from Shin Vs Neo)]] voiced [[WesternAnimation/{{Castlevania}} different]] [[VideoGame/CastlevaniaSymphonyOfTheNight versions]] of Dracula. Finally, [[Creator/TakahiroSakurai Go (from Shin vs Neo)]] is Jonathan Morris.

Added DiffLines:

* DiedDuringProduction: After ''Getter Robo Arc'' had its serialization disrupted by the cancellation of its magazine, Creator/KenIshikawa intended to continue the series in a new magazine. Unfortunately, Ishikawa would unexpectedly die of heart failure a few years later before he could resume work on the series, rendering the hiatus permanent. Years later, ''Arc'' would receive an anime adaptation that sought to fill in the gaps left by Ishikawa's passing and provide the Getter Robo saga with a GeckoEnding.

Added DiffLines:

* OvertookTheManga: While other anime adaptations of the series averted this due to being largely standalone from the manga, the anime of ''Getter Robo Arc'' was produced as a direct adaptation of its manga counterpart. Since Ishikawa left the original manga unfinished, the anime's final few episodes continued from the point the manga left off to wrap up the series as best as possible.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Besides Ishikawa's death, Imagawa was the one who directed the first 3 episodes of Armageddon. Everything was shaping up for an intense mystery martial arts mecha mashup with all of Ishikawa's series joining the fray. Then he got sacked, simply for taking a little too long. He took the scripts with him, leaving the replacement director to make up a new story that could make sense of what happened in the first three episodes despite not knowing what the endgame was meant to be.

** Musashi's famous HeroicSacrifice was originally planned to go to Ryoma, but ExecutiveMeddling demanded someone more expendable, due to belief that it would hurt toy sales. Ironically, at the time, Musashi was likely the show's most popular character, which caused it to hit far harder than an ordinary case of TheHeroDies.

* AuthorExistenceFailure: Creator/KenIshikawa. This left Getter Robo Āḥ, the last series chronologically, on a very annoying cliffhanger since the magazine it ran in was cancelled and he was unable to pick it up again before his death.
