* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Some characters do not appear in DLC History Mode maps or have supports with DLC charactersbarring the PromotedToPlayable DLC, where the supports were programmed in the base game. These characters are Lucina, Frederick, Cordelia, Takumi, Elise, Tiki, Lyn, Celica, the twins, and any villain not named Validar, implying their voice actors were busy or budget cuts for the bonus content. Most notably, Lissa takes Elise's place in one map while the latter never appears in a single downloadable History Mode map. This is also likely the reason why Validar makes the most amount of appearances out of any character in History Mode.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: While this isn't a total loss, since the DLC is also on the Switch version, the 3DS version can no longer access its content, which includes DLC-exclusive characters and history maps, as of the result of the 3DS eShop's closure on March 27th, 2023.

Dewicking defunct tropes

* ActingForTwo:
** Both Chrom and Ryoma are voiced by Creator/MatthewMercer in English. Additionally, the two have a Bond conversation together. Because of this, he employs a bit of VocalEvolution for Ryoma, whose original portrayal was quite similar to Chrom's.
** Takumi and Niles, both voiced by Creator/MichaelSinterniklaas, are given a Bond conversation in the Fates DLC pack.
** The Shadow Dragon DLC pack gives us a Bond conversation between Hinoka and Minerva, both voiced by Creator/CindyRobinson.
** It's not limited to just English, Creator/TakehitoKoyasu provides voices for Navarre, Validar, and Niles in Japanese. Unlike the English examples, there's no Bond conversation between Navarre and Niles.

* RelationshipVoiceActor: Quite a few English cast members from the game were also involved in parent series VideoGame/DynastyWarriors, particularly circa games 5-8.
** Marth: Zhang He and Sun Ce
** Ryoma and Chrom: Taishi Ci and Jia Chong
** Hinoka and Minerva: Zhang Chunhua
** Takumi and Niles: Zhou Yu and Gan Ning
** Female Robin: Lu Lingqi
** Frederick and Validar: Xu Huang, Zhou Tai, Ding Feng, and Sima Yi
** Tharja: Guan Yinping
** Owain: Sima Zhao
** Lyn: Zhenji, Daqiao, Xiaoqiao, and Xingcai
** Iago: Xiahou Dun and Meng Huo

* RecycledScript: History Mode as a whole is this. Additionally, a small amount of the support conversations are recycled from previous conversations. Lucina and Lissa's is similar to the C-Support with Lucina's sibling, and Marth and Caeda's is their first and second base conversations from New Mystery of the Emblem.

Moving Fan Nickname to YMMV

* FanNickname:
** "Royal Emblem", due to the large majority of the playable cast being royalty.
** "Waifu Warriors", due to the large amount of the female cast being popular characters.
** "Awakening x Fates Warriors featuring Marth" is often used, due to the SpotlightStealingSquad status of the Awakening and Fates cast in the game.
** "Banana Twins" for Rowan and Lianna due to their hair color resembling the fruit's.
*** To a lesser extent, "Rin and Len" for Lianna and Rowan respectively, due to their resemblance to the Kagamines.

* TheOtherDarrin: Iago, as the only character from VideoGame/FireEmblemFates to not have been in VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes at the time, has his voice actor changed from Walden James to Creator/KirkThornton. This would later carry over to his eventual appearance in Heroes.
