* CastingGag: It might, might not be intentional - most likely the latter, but Type-0 has a rather funny story regarding voice actor Creator/SteveBlum. Some time after the original game came out in Japan on the PSP, while fans will clamoring and petitiong for Square to localize it, one such imaginative fan decided to play a prank on everyone, releasing a bunch of fake screenshots and documentations showing the game is coming out in the United States. Among the stuff "revealed", ''ridiculously'' authentic-looking social media posts by Steve Blum "confirming" that he's doing recording for the game. And multiple, legitimate gaming outlets reported on it! It got so bad and out of hand that Steve had to personally debunk it all. Several years later, as Type-0 HD is announced...and Steve Blum did turn out to be a major part of the cast! Specifically the voice behind the BigBad, Cid Aulstyne.

* {{Vaporware}}: The game was infamous for this for a while; it was announced in 2006 as a cellphone game (that is, something traditionally very easy to put together), and it was 2011 before we got a release date... on the PSP, on two UMD discs. For a long time, people speculated that the project had just been canceled.
** The creators of the game admitted that development on the game didn't even really start until 2008, two years after it was announced, and even then it had to be kept to a minimum for the first year so they could focus on ''VideoGame/The3rdBirthday''.
