**Ditto with the Italian dub. The original Daimos anime was dubbed by Compagnia Realizzazioni Cinetelevisive (CRC). Later, dubbing studio Alsen produced a CompilationMovie called Daimos - Il figlio di Goldrake (Daimos, the son of Anime/Grendizer) where it connected the universes of Daimos and Grendizer by stating that Daisuke was Kazuya's father.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Daimos was originally supposed to be 50 episodes long. The remaining episodes after the 44th one would have the Baam-Seijin re-settle in Mars, creating a new empire with Erika as their queen. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't the low ratings that forced the board to finish the show early. Producer Takeyuki Suzuki stated that the station wanted to focus on developing the Super Sentai series Battle Fever J, and Daimos had to be cut for timeslot purposes. It's speculated that if the anime had been allowed to finish at 50 episodes like Creator/TadaoNagahama planned, many characters such as would have survived.
** The manga depicted Raiza with a combat suit similar to that of Richter's, implying that at some point she was planned to battle in a spar.
** Concept art shows that Kyoshiro was originally planned to be a LongHairedPrettyBoy.

* AccidentalDownerEnding: The series was was originally meant to run for 50 episodes, but the TV station it was airing on forced the staff to reduce it to 44. The remaining episodes would have the humans and the Baam form an alliance, formally putting an end to the war. While Kazuya would act as a delegate from the human side, Erika would act as a delegate from the Baam side, being crowned their Queen. The Daimovic base would also help the Baam assimilate to Mars and make it their new home.Confirmed in the Literature/RomanRoboAnimeClimaxSelection However, in the anime, this never happens - [[spoiler:the Earth-Baam war ends with a massacre at Olban's wedding, Raiza, Balbas and Margarete are killed, and Richter commits suicide because he's ashamed of all the innocents he's killed. At least Kazuya and Erika reunite and the remaining Baam are saved, being allowed to assimilate to Earth after their old planet was destroyed]].
