* NotHowImDyingDeclaration: When Miko frees Samantha the bandit sorceress and her father from being tied up, Samantha tries to recruit Miko as a minion to replace her recently disbanded bandit clan. Miko politely declines, and the conversation gets more and more agressive until Samantha declares [[JoinOrDie "You'll serve me or you'll die!"]] Miko calmly responds "Then I will die. But not today." and kills Samantha with her sword.

This seems like it should lead into an AlasPoorVillain moment in which Haley expresses regret that she needed to do that, but instead, it cuts to her and the others cheerfully enjoying brunch with apparently not a single thought about it all.

** The aptly-named [[https://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0780.html "The Duel Everyone's Been Waiting For"]] pits Mr. Scruffy the cat against a gladiator who turns out to be a level 1 commoner. Pitting housecats against commoners is an old joke about how silly stats can be (the cat often ''wins'' the encounter, as even literal ScratchDamage is a huge blow to a commoner's very low health) and sure enough, Scruffy disembowels the gladiator.

* ObsoleteOccupation: The unnamed Shadowdancer has this problem. His class's special ability allows him to teleport between shadows, but because his universe is a stick-figure webcomic, shadows are only drawn when they'd be dramatically appropriate. Right after arguing with Redaxe about this, they are both caught in an explosion. Luckily for them, the explosion was dramatic enough to cast shadows, [[ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman so the Shadowdancer was able to teleport them both to safety]].
