The last entry in the diary has Hayes stating his intention to confront Antanas once everything starts getting out of control, followed by the diary of another worker revealing that he disappeared and was later served up as pork by Antanas.

Several of Ronson's diary entries are shown which chronicle his slow rise to becoming a dictator, with the last entry stating that he would pass a law to expel the Foundation from the town. A few minutes later the entire town disappeared off the face of the Earth as this contradicted a previous law that no-one was allowed to leave, with only Ronson's diary remaining.
