** Another tear-jerking moment is in the deleted scene "A Real Live Fairy." In it, Lizzie's father's backstory is revealed. One day, while out playing, he encountered a fairy. When going to get his camera, he made the mistake of telling a girl around his age about the encounter. Said little girl yelled to the whole neighborhood about the fairy, which ended up snowballing into a rumor that there were thousands of, if not millions of fairies in the meadow. Unsurprisingly, people went out to see if this rumor was true. When trying to stop the mob of people, Mr. Griffiths' kerosene lantern he was holding broke, causing a fire which set the whole meadow (including the tree the fairy lived in) to go up in flames. Afterwards, a man (likely his father,) chastised him for "bringing shame to their family." No wonder Mr. Griffiths didn't want Lizzie to believe in fairies: because he didn't want her to go through the same pain he did.

But eventually they wanted to be together, so one of them crossed over... and their wing broke, and so on that day Queen Clarion declared that the fairies must never cross the creek. Later on [[spoiler:Lord Milori takes off his feather cloak and gives it to the Queen, and we see he has a broken wing.]] It's pretty obvious what's implied early on, but it's still a bit sad to know the two of them couldn't be together for so long. [[spoiler:At least they could reunite and stay together at the end.]]
