* During "The Last Tale of Yajakali", with Charles off on his yearlong journey, one of his sons, the one who has inherited his [[{{Ninja}} Sondeck]] power, takes ill to an affliction unique to the Sondeck. Because the only Sondeck remaining in the south is Garigan, Charles' pupil who is still early in his training, we are treated to a horrifying scene as he tries to fight against it, only to have the magical malady injure him as well. In the end, despite seeking intercession from any deity that will hear them, the child is lost. Ouch...
