* Haruhime finally breaks down when Bell proves just how far he's willing to go to save her. Her words after she powers him up so he can fight Phryne evenly sum it all up:
-->"I don't want to sell my body anymore. I don't want to hurt anyone anymore. I don't want to die. Help me!"
** Even worse, you can hear how her voice progressively ''cracks'' with each line.

Added DiffLines:

* In the beginning of vol.12, Lefiya had completely closed off to the outside world, turned into a statue that even Ais can’t get her to react.

Added DiffLines:

* In vol.10, the fight where Bell is forced to confront Ais to protect Wiene. Ais said from experience that monsters are only capable of hurting mortals, and they need to be destroyed. And during the whole fight, the small Ais inside her heart was crying, crying that it’s not fair that this monster has Bell to protect her when she doesn’t have a hero to save her from the darkness she’s trapped in.

** And then there’s her real death in vol.12, Lefiya cradled her in her arms as she crumbled into dust, saying that’s the most beautiful person she’d ever met. Filvis had whispered that they will always be together before she disappeared entirely, leaving the echo of an unsaid promise.

* Filvis’ death and Lefiya’s reaction in SO vol.11, just...the grief.

* And in the manga, Lulune first reaction to the reward of the mission on floor 24 is glee, but then remembered what it cost them and cried out that this isn't worth it.
* Tione and Tiona's backstory, Bete's backstory, Filvis' backstory, they just got darker and darker with every character, don't they?

* Bell's first meeting with Haruhime when running and hiding from Aisha and the Amazons who were eager to rape him. She tries to seduce him at first, thinking he was just another customer while working as a prostitute. But then she passes out before she's able to do anything to him. She then hides him till dawn until she could show him an escape route from Aisha, and they find out they're both fans of heroic novels which inspired him to become an adventurer. She then tells her tragic backstory and how she was sold off as a prostitute after angering her father, and how she felt she could no longer dream of being a damsel in distress because she no longer considered herself pure due to her job. When she shows Bell an escape route, he has a troubled look on his face, since he was unable to do anything to help her at the time.

* In the manga, Ais actually passed out for a moment when fighting Udaeus, and she witnessed Revis slaughtered Tione and Tiona before trying to kill Lefiya, the despair in that chapter...

* Hestia's predicament at the beginning of the series. In the backstory, she was always teased by the other gods and goddesses for not finding a man in heaven. She managed to survive with the help of Hephaestus. Even after recruiting Bell, Hestia still spends the rest of her days living in an abandoned church with her familia and working several part-time jobs.

* How the manga handled the causalities of the battle on 24th Floor. The novels only mentioned some of Hermes' children died in the battle, while the anime didn't mention it at all.
