* RealityIsUnrealistic: Lou Ferrigno revealed in the book ''You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry'' that early in the show's run, some people who didn't know what he really looked like did not believe he was a real person due to his extremely muscular build and that he was just Bill Bixby in an inflated jumpsuit. He even stated that some folks who ran into him on set actually walked up to him and touched him just to make sure he was an actual human being.

* ProppingUpTheirPatsy: In "Of Guilt, Models and Murder", the Hulk is suspected of murdering a woman. As David Banner doesn't retain the memories of when he's the Hulk, he fears the suspicions can be true. However, a victim's friend, Sheila Cantrell, tells David that the victim was dead when the Hulk arrived and the creature was saddened for arriving too late to save her. It turns out that Cantrell was the murderer.
