A Creator/Channel4 comedy-drama show about Rachel 'Rae' Earl, a 16-year-old girl returning to the outside world after spending time in a mental hospital. Based on a published diary (called 'My Fat, Mad Teenage Diary) by the author of the same name. Originally marketed as a romantic comedy about Rae's quest to [[SexAsRiteOfPassage 'get a shag']] despite her weight, although actually focuses far more on her struggle with mental illness.
