Misuse

* MenActWomenAre: The female child characters constantly rely on their male peers to solve their problems and are usually worried about their looks(except for Alicia who is the token tomboy character but even her fit the trope at times) while the male child characters are more proactive and involved in the adventures, this is particularly obvious in the episodes where Maria Joaquina is kidnapped. However, things get better in later episodes, the spin off show and the movies as they tend to depict the girls as being more adventurous and less dependent on the boys while the boys’ desire for being tough has been tuned down.

* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Although the 2012 remake always had a few fantasy elements, the earliest episodes were a lot more down to earth and mature but after the character of Adriano became more well developed, the series started to incorporate more fantasy and pop culture references to the point that some episodes felt like an entirely different series.
