Oever would also expose Marinus van Staveren's attempts to warn Dirk's family of his execution, resulting in Marinus being ordered to be part of Oever's [[ShotAtDawn firing squad]], with Oever forcing Marinus to kill Dirk. When the heroes chase Fantômas, the latter shows no hesitation in attempting to shoot Fandor or his own daughter Hélène. After being saved by her father's bargain with an enchantress, the child began to delight in reading the fortunes of villagers ending in horrific death. She would then [[SerialKiller ensure those deaths came to pass]], horribly murdering [[{{Patricide}} even her own father]]. Upon Holda attempting to send her to her fate in the woods, the child [[TheCorrupter beckoned her mother to accept the darkness in her]] and devour Holda's other children. Alone in the woods, the child continued to lure other children to their deaths.

Rusk later lures Richard's lover Barbara to her death, and uses the dead woman's clothes to frame his old friend for the murders. When confronted by Richard and Chief Inspector Oxford, Rusk is in the process of disposing of the corpse of yet another victim. Completely bereft of compassion and remorse, Bob Rusk is only able to mask his true self with superficial charm, and deep down is an utterly callous and twisted individual who kills for his own pleasure.

Revealing his true colors to Richard's ex-wife Brenda, Rusk [[RapeAsDrama forces himself on her]] before violently strangling her to death. Rusk later lures Richard's lover Barbara to her death, and uses the dead woman's clothes to frame his old friend for the murders. When confronted by Richard and Chief Inspector Oxford, Rusk is in the process of disposing of the corpse of yet another victim. Completely bereft of compassion and remorse, Bob Rusk is only able to mask his true self with superficial charm, and deep down is an utterly callous and twisted individual who kills for his own pleasure.
