Too fantastical considering what Roboppi is.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Just like with real world programs, it isn't a good idea to give a lower level program something that's too much for it to handle or else it will malfunction and break just like Roboppi.

Misuse. The malfunction had been built up heavily, and Soulburner didn't truly win, more like he put Roboppy out of his misery. It was either that or the duel gets abruptly cancelled. Ai was shown to be dismayed by what Roboppi was going through, so he wasn't expecting it. He likely expected Roboppi to simply be defeated.

* DeusExMachina: Roboppi has Soulburner dead to rights, but it's at this moment that his program goes into a full-on meltdown, causing him to end his turn and giving Soulburner the chance to win.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Ai expresses horror at Roboppi's state as he continues to break down, aware that said breakdown is his fault thanks to his program being too advanced for Roboppi's system. As such, he can only shed a SingleTear of regret once Roboppi dies.

* TheReveal: The program Ai gave Roboppi is a message for Playmaker. Ai seems to have anticipated that Roboppi would break down as he did.
