Yuya faces Shingo Sawatari again. Sawatari has yet another new deck theme, Yosen. Using their ability to summon other copies of themselves from his hand, Sawatari is able to combat Yuya's Pendulum Summon with his own swarming tactics. However, he then does one better -- Sawatari activates his own Pendulum Monsters and Pendulum Summons as part of a brutal combo that shuffles Yuya's cards into his deck, overcoming the strength of Pendulum Monsters to go to the Extra Deck when destroyed.

Though in a tight pinch from such a strategy and facing an opponent using new Pendulum Monsters, Yuya perseveres and continues the duel with a smile on his face.

!! This episode contains examples of:
* FlungClothing: Sawatari flings away his samurai outfit to reveal his regular uniform underneath. Amusingly, he even has his shoes, even though he was wearing sandals just seconds before.
* TerribleTrio: Sawatari uses a combo with three monsters, Yosenju Kama 1, 2, and 3. This reflects a legend of the Hida Province where the Kamaitchi brothers would work as a team to prank travelers. The first would knock a person down, the second would cut him with knives, and the final would pour medicine in the wound to remove the pain.
* {{Youkai}}: Sawatari's cards are demons of Japanese folklore, specifically ''kamaitachi'', wind spirits who appeared as weasels who could ride dust devils and ambush humans.
