* OffModel: Creator/EncoreCartoons' first ''Tiny Toons'' episode, and quite possibly their worst out of their three episodes. One of the most noticable issues is how the characters seem to move in exaggerated ways as they speak just to avoid having to animate their mouths speaking, which is especially obvious in the opening wraparound for "Scentimental Pig", and as Buster, Babs, Hamton, and Furrball TitleDrop the episode at the end of "Duck in the Muck", for example.

Added DiffLines:

The 38th episode of the first season of ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' (and 38th overall), the stories in "Strange Tales of Weird Science" revolve around science causing strange things to happen to the main cast. The episode is also the first of the three episodes animated by Creator/EncoreCartoons.

The episode opens with Buster and Babs' hosting duties of this episode being hampered by Elmyra, who wants to dress the two bunnies up like babies and feed them mud-pies. Fortunately, they escape by convincing the ever-ditzy Elmyra into thinking that she is a woodpecker. They then introduce the first segment of the episode.

'''First short''': "Scentimental Pig"

At the local chemical plant, a pair of chemists invent "the world's most delicious flavor"; when put on something, nobody can resist eating it. Even a dog will eat cat food with the stuff on it. The scientists leave a beaker containing the formula sitting on a windowsill, and, as fate would have it, Hamton comes merrily dancing down the street and accidentally knocks the beaker (and fluid) all over himself. Before he knows it, everyone from a baby to a pack of stray dogs to even Plucky quite literally want a piece of him.

'''Second short''': "Pit Bullied"

Preyed upon by Furrball, Sweetie Pie wonders if there's a way she can prevent Furrball from trying to eat her all the time. She finds a solution in the form of the ACME Schtick Center, where she eventually gets Furrball into a mind-altering machine. Here, she removes Furrball's desire to eat birds, and replaces it with a desire to eat ''pit bulls''; pit bulls like Arnold. AmusingInjuries ensue as Furrball sets out to try and eat Arnold.

'''Third short''': "Duck in the Muck"

Plucky goes for a swim in his pond one day to discover that the water is turning grimy, the plant life is dying, and animals are starting to look ''mighty'' funny. It turns out that Montana Max has built a huge factory for making plastic spoons and is dumping toxic waste into Plucky's pond as a result. Plucky adopts the identity of the Toxic Revenger and sets off to show Max the results of his actions and bring him to justice.

!!Tropes found in this episode include:

''Overall'':
* AlanSmithee: Credited as director for the latter two shorts.
* AnimatedActors: As Buster and Babs run from Elmyra in the opening wraparound segment, Buster frets that they're going to be late and that "[[Creator/StevenSpielberg Steven's]] gonna kill us!"
* CreditsGag: '''Number Of Retakes''': Don't Ask.
* OffModel: Creator/EncoreAnimation's first ''Tiny Toons'' episode. Needless to say, they cemented their reputation as one of ''Tiny Toons''' sloppiest animation companies pretty fast.
* StockFootage: It's very obvious that the opening scene involving Buster and Babs on the run from Elmyra was not originally made for this episode. In fact, it is actually a Creator/KennedyCartoons[=-=]animated deleted scene from "The Looney Beginning" with different sound-clips dubbed over it.

''Scentimental Pig'':
* BeTheBall: Plucky briefly dribbles Hamton like a basketball as he takes him into the kitchen.
* GratuitousGerman: The shorter of the two men in the chemical lab lets out an "Ach du liber!" as they test out the formula for the world's most delicious flavor.
* ImpossiblyDeliciousFood: The flavor made by the chemists can make anything (or [=anyONE=]) become this. Once it gets on Hamton, even Plucky wants to eat him.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After spending most of his screen-time trying to eat Hamton, Plucky gets doused in the delicious flavor formula himself and gets people chasing him instead. Plucky runs to Hamton for help...but Hamton either becomes hungry himself or [[TheDogBitesBack decides to pay Plucky back for trying to eat him earlier]] and begins stuffing him into every oven or microwave he can find like Plucky did with him earlier.
* ShoutOut: [[Series/TheLoneRanger "Hi-ho, silverware, away!"]]
* ThemeTuneCameo: Well, for ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'', anyway. Hamton is singing the lyrics to "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" as he walks down the street in the beginning.

''Pit Bullied'':
* TheAhnold: Arnold the pit bull makes his debut in this short.
* AlanSmithee: The director is credited this way for both this short and "Duck in the Muck".
* FireBreathingDiner: During one of his ill-fated attempts to eat Arnold, Furrball comes in with a bottle of hot sauce. Needless to say, that hot sauce goes straight into Furrball's mouth once Arnold catches him.
* MirrorsReflectEverything: Done with a tanning bed when Furrball attempts to cook Arnold with an ACME Portable Microwave Cooker. When Furrball fires, Arnold simply pushes up the top of his tanning bed, causing the microwave beam to bounce back and hit Furrball instead.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Sweetie Pie gets her comeuppance when Furrball deduces that Sweetie is behind his sudden interest in eating pit bulls and subsequently gives Arnold an appetite for birds using the same machine she used on him.

''Duck in the Muck'':

* BodyHorror: PlayedForLaughs, for the most part. The toxic waste from Max's factory is starting to mutate the wildlife around it, and soon we see a frog with four eyes and a bear with a deer growing out of his head.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Max's characterization in this short.
* DoomedHometown: Plucky's pond is a mess from the toxic waste from Max's factory. Later, Max announces his plan to remove Plucky's pond altogether in order to expand his factory.
* ExtraEyes: Plucky meets a frog that now has four eyes thanks to the toxic waste that Max is producing.
* MultipleHeadCase: When Plucky brings some of the toxic waste into Max's office room, Max winds up growing another head along with a tail. At the very end of the episode, Plucky ''also'' grows another head as the result of his adventure.
-->'''Plucky #2''': Don't look now, bub, but you've just become a duo!
* ShoutOut: At the end when a now two-headed Plucky is heading off into the sunset, Plucky and his second head discuss the possibility of getting a SpinOff and proposing the name "[[Series/TwinPeaks Twin Beaks]]" for it.
