* BadassInDistress: The 90s Flash is revealed to be the Anti-Monitor's prisoner.

* BirdsOfAFeather: Barry & Jefferson quickly bond over their shared experience of losing a parent as a child. They also share the deceased parents [[GoodParents raising them to be good]].

** Pariah explains early on that he can only use his powers when the Anti-Monitor allows him to. After the anti-matter cannon is stopped, with Pariah's help, Barry realizes that the Anti-Monitor would only have allowed this if it factored into his plans. Sure enough, the Anti-Monitor had a backup plan in place.

* DeathByCameo: ''Series/BirdsOfPrey2002'' cast members Ashley Scott and Creator/DinaMeyer return for a single scene in which they got obliterated by antimatter.

* DiabolusExMachina: The Anti-Matter machine is destroyed [[JustInTime just before Earth-1, the last surviving Earth, is struck by an anti-matter wave]]. Then Harbinger reappears on the Waverider, now [[DemonicPossession possessed by the Anti-Monitor]], and absorbs The Monitor's power before resuming the destruction of Earth-1, as well as the Waverider itself.

* EurekaMoment: Barry, Ralph & Earth-96 Clark all [[OhCrap realise]], shortly after Harbinger returns, that the tragedy Pariah was meant to witness is tied to Harbinger’s strange behaviour. Sure enough, she is being controlled by the Anti-Monitor.

* FlingALightIntoTheFuture: Just before the Waverider is erased by the anti-matter wave, Pariah sends the seven Paragons to the Vanishing Point[[note]]i.e. the PlaceBeyondTime that served as the base of operations for the [[Series/LegendsOfTomorrow Time Masters and then later very briefly the Legion of Doom]][[/note]].

* GravityMaster: The Anti-Monitor easily subdues most of the heroes by increasing the Waverider's gravity until they can no longer stand.
* HappilyMarried: Earth-90 Barry tells Earth-1 Barry that he and Tina married after his series ended; the use of past tense implies she perished when the Monitor devastated Earth-90.

* HopeSpringsEternal: Earth-96 Superman added the black to his crest to symbolise that even in the darkest of times, hope can cut through and shine in the darkness.

** Lois remarks that she is at the center of one of the biggest news stories in all of history, but apparently no one is going to be around to read it.

** ''Series/BirdsOfPrey2002'' had a tendency to use excessive SlowMotion shots in its action sequences. Naturally, this effect would be used once again during Huntress's opening cameo.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The Monitor warping away Earth-90 Flash last year during ''Series/Elseworlds2018'' allowed the Anti-Monitor to capture him and use him to power the anti-matter cannon.

* NoodleIncident: As is common with Constantine, this is how his experience with Series/{{Lucifer|2016}} is brought up. Apparently he helped with something involving Maze, and Lucifer owes him for it, but much like many others [[TheFriendNobodyLikes doesn't like him]]. However, it's also somewhat unusual among John Constantine noodle incidents in that it explicitly involves him [[DimensionalTraveler having travelled to another Earth]].

* OhCrap: After Harbinger reappears, Barry quickly realises that the Anti-Monitor ''wanted'' her back on the Waverider, and that since Pariah is present, a tragedy is imminent.

** FridgeBrilliance: The other stars may be destroyed but their light traveling to the vicinity of Earth was not, and their destruction wouldn't be visually observable from Earth for many years.
