In this unusually [[DenserAndWackier silly]] episode, WesternAnimation/UncleGrandpa comes to town to aid Steven in unlocking the power of his mother's gem. Unfortunately, the Crystal Gems don't take kindly to this RealityWarper whose idea of "help" appears to be aiming all manner of guns at the boy, and decide he must be stopped. HilarityEnsues.

** At the episode's end, we see Uncle Grandpa's list of people to visit. Apparently, he's visited [[WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory Dexter, Dee Dee,]] [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup,]] [[WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy Ed, Edd, Eddy,]] [[WesternAnimation/TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMandy Billy, Mandy,]] [[WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends Mac,]] [[WesternAnimation/TheLifeAndTimesOfJuniperLee Juniper,]] the WesternAnimation/SWATKats, [[WesternAnimation/TheMarvelousMisadventuresOfFlapjack Flapjack,]] [[WesternAnimation/AdventureTime Finn,]] and, of course, Steven. He plans to visit WesternAnimation/{{Clarence}} next.

* OffModel: Despite Creator/RoughDraftStudios (this episode's animators) having worked on both shows, the TV in Uncle Grandpa's RV changes shape frequently. Though it's unclear whether this is intentional or not.
** Amethyst's gem turns white briefly. This is shortly followed by her shirt turning light blue for a frame or two when she hisses at Uncle Grandpa.
** Even though he doesn't say anything, Steven's mouth moves when his head orbits around the Earth.

* TakeThatAudience: The episode's {{Aesop}} seems to be directly inspired by the negative reaction within the SU fanbase to the announcement that there was going to be a UG - SU crossover, as well as the {{Hatedom}} ''WesternAnimation/UncleGrandpa'' itself has received since its announcement. Given AnimationLeadTime, the message is scarily clairvoyant...though the crew's declaration that the episode was going to be the best thing ever and totally canon (as an elaborate April Fool's Day prank) ''did'' stir the pot quite a bit.
