* AdaptationalHeroism: The Blue Meanies from WesternAnimation/YellowSubmarine are with the good guys. They were reformed at the end of that movie, but the Winged Monkeys were never evil at all yet they are with the bad guys here (though seeing as the Wicked Witch of the West is still alive in Imaginationland, it's highly likely they still serve her in Imaginationland). Wario is also with the villains, despite him being at best an AntiHero with the Mario cast. Wario was however a villian early on in his first several appearances such as "VideoGame/SuperMarioLand26GoldenCoins.

* BreakTheCutie: Strawberry Shortcake's entire torture scene is clearly this as the poor girl is literally kicked, beaten be several evil characters before having her left eye gouged out by Jason Voorhees. It's hinted this entire act might have been the catalyst for Blueberry Muffin's badass actions in Part 3, showing that her death greatly broke her.
