to:

* HolierThanThou: Amy, big time. She thinks she can train others in being sensitive, forcing all her friends to attend her seminars, while she is being incredibly insensitive to Sonic herself and does nothing to defend him from others.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Sonic calls the villagers and his friends out for taking him for granted and berate him for the simplest things instead of giving credit where credit is due by saying how everyone just gasps at him when he calls a guy "a guy" or people "people". As a result, Sonic has a complete outburst and furiously storms the group, and following that, he has a temporary retirement.

* IMeantToDoThat: After Sonic saves the day, Amy claims that she knew if they left him alone long enough he'd step up and save the day. Sonic passive-aggressively calls out this {{blatant lie|s}}.
-->'''Sonic:''' While I appreciate you taking partial credit for my heroics Amy, there is someone that ''actually'' deserves my thanks.

* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Although Sonic decides to quit being a hero and retire after getting sick of everyone's ungrateful attitude, once things really start to get serious when the Lightning Bolt Society cause a stampede of sheep in town he can't help but jump in. This is lampshaded and exploited by Eggman, who knows that is he were to attack the village right away after hearing of Sonic's retirement, then Sonic would simply come out of retirement immediately and stop him, and so chooses to wait for Sonic to act first and strike when he least expects it.

Two weeks and it was not rewritten.

%% * EntitledBastard: The villagers, after shunning Sonic, and exaggerating a couple of off-hand remarks and generally acting like a bunch of self-righteous hypocritical jerks, now run to Sonic, begging him to stop the Lightning Bolt Society's rampage. Sonic makes it clear that he's retired from superhero work.
--> '''Lady Walrus:''' Sonic, you have to do something about the Lightning Bolt Society.
--> '''Sonic:''' (''annoyed but calmly'') Oh, whatever. I've eaten burritos more dangerous than the Lightning Bolt. (''takes out a pair of sunglasses'') Sorry guys, I'm retired.

There's a difference between being entitled and being desperate. I think this part needs to be rewritten.

* KarmaHoudini: Amy and Knuckles suffer no punishment for turning on Sonic and pompously lecturing him on being more “compassionate”.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: After Sonic calls everyone out for their selfishness and storms out of the seminar, everyone made shocked faces, making them feel guilty on how they treated Sonic.

* WithFriendsLikeThese: Sonic’s so-called “friends”, mainly Knuckles and Amy, turn on him just like the villagers and spend the episode lecturing and insulting him, which causes Sonic to lose his temper and calls them out on it.

* TenMinuteRetirement: After Sonic gets angry at the villagers and his friends for not appreciating him saving them on a regular basis and instead takes him for granted by blowing everything he says about them out of proportion, he decides to quit. His retirement doesn't last long when the Lightning Bolt Society destroys a fence and lets a flock of sheep loose.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Sonic's argument that Mike shouldn't have been allowed to join the heroes' fight against Eggman is seen as insensitive by the villagers. However, Sonic is absolutely in the right: Mike has no powers or fighting skills and his most useful action in not just this episode but the entire show is warning Sonic of a sneak attack by Eggman.

* ProperlyParanoid: When Eggman hears how Sonic has quit being a hero, he knows that if he decides to attack the village right away then Sonic would just [[ChronicHeroSyndrome come out of retirement right away to stop him]] and chooses to bide his time and wait for the right moment to attack. Robot is not impressed by this idea, but Eggman is proven right when the Lightning Bolt Society unleash a stampede of sheep in town and Sonic arrives to stop it. Eggman decides that is the perfect time to attack since Sonic is distracted, and it would have worked if Mike hadn't of warned Sonic.
