* UncannyValley: As the characters feel increasingly lethargic, the pupils of their eyes become increasingly dilated until they look [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/rwby/images/2/2e/V6_06_00019.png/revision/latest?cb=20181208180011&format=original extremely creepy and zombie-like]]. The reason turns out to be a pack of Apathy Grimm trapped beneath the farmstead, which are slowly eating away everyone's will to live.

This is listed on the Grimm page.

* HumanoidAbomination: Most of the Grimm are based on real or mythic animals, but the Apathy are humanoid in shape, so thin and sinewy that they appear skeletal. Their white mask covers their face and looks like a human skull. Their bodies are capable of twisting in inhuman ways, and they twitch with bone-cricking tics when they straighten up, just like the Nuckelavee and the God of Darkness.

This is more of a character trope and already has an example on the appropriate page. Removing.

* TooDumbToLive: Though he acted with the best intentions, Bartleby's final scheme to help the town overcome its hardship only ended up wiping it out. When separating a pair of Grimm from their pack, he failed to consider that the rest of the pack might try to follow the pair. These specific type of Grimm had the ability to drain the will from a living being with their sheer presence, causing its victim to either waste away or be left open to being killed. When Bartleby put the pair of Grimm in his cellar, he didn't bother to immediately seal up the tunnels, instead leaving it until the following day. This gave the pack plenty of time in which to arrive at the farm and locate their missing members. Bartleby therefore sealed in an entire horde of Apathy Grimm rather than just two. The sheer level of power emanating from such a huge pack saps the energy from the entire farmstead, killing all of them in their sleep, even Bartleby.

Removing speculation, unnecessary emphasis, conversational language. Rewriting for context or grammar. Heroic Willpower misuse (rewritten to fit the trope). Innocently Insensitive shoehorning. Monster Of The Aesop is a Monster Of The Week trope, they don't both need to be troped. More Than Mind Control shoehorning (the Apathy aren't engaging in manipulation to change people's opinions, they're merely draining the will to live). Motivated By Fear is just pure speculation, in each case the characters were shocked, which could mean anything. Nice Job Fixing It Villain misuse. Removed Out Of Genre Experience because they've explored horror before — not in as much depth, but it's not new to the show. Outside Context Problem misuse; the heroes are kids still learning what Grimm exist in the world, and the audience learns as they do. Maria's encountered Apathy before and the diaries make it clear the hired huntsman knew all about them, too. Removed The Reveal because it's a Captain Obvious Reveal (as Maria herself points out). I've moved the example to Foreshadowing instead. Wham misuse; it's not for reveals, or anything that's been foreshadowed or set up in advance by the plot.
