* PinnedToTheGround: After Ruby's use of her silver eyes leaves Cinder vulnerable, Jaune goes in for the kill trying to stab her. Cinder manages to dodge at the last moment causing Jaune to lose his balance and fall to the ground. As he tries to get back up, Cinder, angry that he almost managed to kill her, stomps on his chest pinning him back down to the ground.

Removing trope misuse. The description for This Is Unforgivable goes into detail about why situations like this are the kind of misuse it's seeking to avoid.

* ThisIsUnforgivable: Qrow makes it clear whilst dueling Raven that he still considered her his sister after she abandoned her family, but after she's sold him, RWBY, JNR and Ozpin/Oscar out to Salem's forces and lured them all into a trap, she's as good as dead to him.
-->'''Qrow:''' Running away was one thing, but ''this''?! You've crossed a line!\\
'''Raven:''' Sorry, brother. Sometimes, family disappoints you like that.\\
'''Qrow:''' We're not family anymore.

Removing this for violating Example Indentation In Trope Lists, Speculative Troping, and misusing Playing With ( nothing can be "somewhat subverted", it either is or it isn't; in this case, it isn't).

** Though somewhat subverted when she suddenly claims she DOES remember him and taunts him quite personally about being the guy out of his league, a seeming jab at both him faking his way into Beacon and his relationship with Pyrrha, things she likely learned from Emerald during their Beacon infiltration. Unless Cinder is seriously scatter brained it's likely she only claimed to forget him to try to break his will and changed that into a personal attack when that didn't work. This would seemingly be backed up by her changing gears entirely and attacking Weiss instead of Jaune to try to break him later on.

* {{Cliffhanger}}: At the end of the episode, Cinder creates a javelin that looks very similar to Pyrrha's and runs it thorugh Weiss's torso, causing the latter to slump to her knees in the exact same pose as Pyrrha died in. The final shot of the scene is the javelin burning away to cinders, reminiscent of Cinder burning away Pyrrha's body, and a slight hint of Weiss beginning to fall to the ground.

This is trope misuse; Redemption Rejection requires the character to have the opportunity to be redeemed but decline it. Raven didn't have the opportunity, she had been forced into helping the villains to protect her tribe and was planning a double-cross to get out of the situation. The fact she was in her situation under duress means the required opportunity did not exist for her to be able to accept the offer when it was made.

* RedemptionRejection: When Team RWBY encounters Raven, the latter declines Qrow's offer to hand over the Spring Maiden and help them fight against Salem, saying that the latter is unstoppable. Ruby also tries convincing Raven to join forces with the others, reasoning that they've done impossible feats by working together. But Raven simply tells Ruby that she reminds her of Summer, and has Cinder's team attack them. Outraged by this, Qrow quickly renounces Raven as her sister.
