** Peter couldn't even do something as simple as make dinner without [[spoiler:killing his kids. [[UnexplainedRecovery Though they appear later on alive and well, without any explanation.]]]]
* BodyHorror / AndIMustScream: Peter tries to drop a beached whale into the ocean with his forklift and accidentally eviscerates it while it is still alive.
* BreatherEpisode: After the immensely [[TearJerker tearjerking]] GameChanger episode that took place and was undone at the end of the third, the episode definitely is something of this.
** CriticalDissonance: Despite this, most reviewers hated this episode, as it encapsulates everything that's wrong with current episodes of ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'', and the tearjerking, game-changing arc with Brian dead and the Griffin family trying to cope without him is really the direction ''Family Guy'' should be going instead of this.

Peter gets a promotion at work to forklift operator, quickly becoming a master at it and treating the guys to fun. However, when he attempts to chug an entire vat of beer at work, he passes out, wrecks into a executive meeting and is fired. Lois nags Peter about getting another job and decides to get a job of her own to help out with the bills. After Lois lands a job as an assistant manager at a grocery store, Peter finds himself left in charge of the household while Lois works. But when Lois comes home and feels like a little romance, Peter discovers he is unable to perform.
After being humiliated by the family, he goes to see Dr. Hartman on Lois' advice but the doctor is no help. At the Drunken Clam, he tells the guys and they volunteer to help him. Their various stunts fail and Quagmire decides that the solution is for Peter to get his old job back. He goes to bat for Peter with Angela and between his plea and Peter redeeming a "coupon" for a rehire, they succeed. At the grocery store, he tells Lois that not only did he get his job back, but his sex drive is back as they have sex right in the store.
