Regarding the ring, she talks about leaving the box the ring was in alone entirely, and when the ring gets stuck on Gene's finger later on, she recommends telling an adult to help them out, both of which could've spared everyone a lot of trouble. She also points out that going into a water stream after a pink-eye infected could get them all afflicted too, but she shrugs the notion off.

The family reading her diary is mentioned in [[Recap/BobsBurgersS1E6SheeshCabBob "Sheesh, Cab, Bob?"]] It's also how Linda and Bob found out that their kids snuck out to the taffy factory in [[Recap/BobsBurgersS2E1TheBelchies "The Belchies"]].
