* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Amy casually mentions how her daughter Dylan has drifted away from her as Dylan's become a teenager. She emphasizes how Dylan wants nothing to do with her now, just as Tina comes over to ask if she and Dylan can room together. While Linda is likely to have still been disappointed if Tina asked to room with Dylan, she's specifically set off by Amy's dire predictions that Tina, like Dylan with Amy, will soon push Linda away. Then, when Ami and Linda end up rooming together, Amy continues making oblivious comments about how teenage girls hate their mothers, further panicking Linda. Linda even has a nightmare that night that heavily features Amy and her scrapbooking. In the end, however, Tina is clear that she loves Linda and enjoys spending time with her mom. Had Amy not said anything, it's very likely that the entire A plot of Linda inadvertently embarrassing Tina (and getting kicked out of the hotel) would have never happened.
