He was in C & C with Sheridan and Ivanova when Corwin repeatedly tells them that Ambassador Kosh's ship is launching out of the docking bay, and yet when Kosh's ship is about to enter the jumpgate, Cranston reacts angrily that he wasn't notified about a launch (despite him being right there hearing all about the launch from the get go).

* IDontThinkThatsSuchAGoodIdea: Franklin's reaction to Garibaldi's disguise and idea to go hunting for Dr Jacobs' on their own, asking rhetorically [[MyLifeFlashedBeforeMyEyes "why is my life suddenly flashing" before my eyes"]].

* ContinuityNod: Garibaldi is skeptical of Jacobs despite Franklin vouching for him, reminding him [[Recap/BabylonFiveS01E04Infection what happened the last time one of his old colleagues came on board.]]

* BatmanGambit: Sheridan gets Cranston to waste his time in a section of the station Sheridan spontaneously dubs "Downtown," a heavy industrial section with lead-lined walls and welded-shut pressure doors since the machines there apparently don't need maintenance. Cranston realizes this would be exactly the kind of place for Dr. Jacobs to evade the search teams' scanners, so diverts everyone to search it. . . having to cut through those welded-shut pressure doors to get in and move around. This buys Sheridan a substantial amount of time to reach Jacobs first.

* AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs: Cranston essentially hijacks Babylon 5 to search for Dr. Jacobs

* DarkSecret: Dr. Jacobs has information that then Vice-President Clark was not ill when he left Earth Force One, implying that he knew it was going to explode.

* CallBack:
** When Franklin tries to speak up for Dr. Jacobs, Garibaldi mentions that the last doctor he vouched for let an [[Recap/BabylonFiveS01E04Infection Ikarran war machine]] loose through Down Below.
** Sheridan and Kosh refer back to the events of [[Recap/BabylonFiveS02E11AllAloneInTheNight Sheridan's dream while abducted]].

** When Garibaldi asks Max to hand him the data crystal, the latter tries to deny knowledge of it. Garibaldi responds by shooting the floor and wall around Max, telling him YouWouldntLikeMeWhenImAngry.
