* LoudSleeperGag: Brutus has a new Roman camp built near the Gaul village, in order to kidnap the baby under Asterix's guard. An entire page shows how organized Roman legionnaires are into building a camp; one of them, however, builds his tent outside because can't stand the others' snoring.

* AdultFear: When the Romans set the village on fire, the women and children evacuate to the seashore... only to be confronted by a large, armed and extremely ruthless Roman general, when none of them have been given magic potion. And then he grabs the baby and makes his getaway.

* EasilyForgiven: Because Brutus' survival is a ForegoneConclusion due to him needing to live long enough to be a part of Caesar's assassination, his punishment for treason and attempted infanticide is being ReassignedToAntarctica. Note that this is the same punishment that Noxius Vapus and his troops got at the end of ''Recap/AsterixAndTheChieftainsShield'' just for failing the mission that Caesar gave them.
