* The first half of the N1 takes place on an island called Hades Isle. However, the original name is ''Hell Island''. What's more, inside the mountain, the announcer explicitly states that its where "people sentenced to eternal damnation are skewered here." The translators SOMEHOW put the words "eternal damnation" in that chapter while changing the name, and mentioned that people died. We don't even know if this is just hype for TV. In fact, this could be an in-universe example of Sunayama getting past the radar!

* Would it count as a literal example to mention the zoo incident? There are sprites of animal feces Lan can encounter after the animals go berserk. The word ''poop'' also shows up visually when the player examines the elephant, and the end credits depict another sprite of feces.

Hades Isle in Battle Network 3 is a location with lore briefly mentioned. The context of that place is something I believe the censors would take issue with since this game is rated E. But somehow, the lore is glossed over. Just like with some parts of BN 2...

* The second game is comparatively ''filled'' with swearing (Gauss famously shouts "Damn it to Hell!" after being foiled). There's also the infamous scene in which Yai goes about accusing (and then teasing) Lan for ''almost'' seeing her naked. The ESRB rating warned ''only'' of Comic Mischief.
