Trope misuse, Stupid Evil is for when a character does things that are obviously not in their best interest simply to be evil. Having poor judgement while pursuing a plan doesn't qualify.

* StupidEvil: Vinsmoke Judge. In an uncanny callback to Hody and Don Krieg of the Fishman Island and Baratie arcs, respectively, Judge is just a normal fish in a big pond who thought he was invincible based on his own warped definition of "strength". His beliefs and lack of empathy for others prevented him from realizing just how unrealistic his plans were. To wit:
** He really thought he could conquer the North Blue with only his fleet of clones and his genetically-enhanced children all who were physically and psychologically altered save for one, Sanji. This ends up destroying his family since his wife Sora died trying to protect her children from their father, Reiju became a suicidal StepfordSmiler, the Vinsmoke boys are utter brats with no chances to redeem themselves because of their literal lack of empathy, and Sanji ran away to escape the abuse he endured for not being like his family.
** When his family was ousted from power in North Blue, Judge decides to ally himself with the hedonistic, backstabbing Big Mom by virtue of her being strong, naively thinking she'll honor her word. Except she didn't; she only wanted the Vinsmokes' cloning technology and nearly succeeded in killing them all in a farce of a wedding.
** All his work in keeping Sanji passive and obedient (via blackmail and having Reiju fit him with explosive bracelets that turn out to be duds) until the day he married Pudding to seal the alliance with Germa 66 and the Big Mom Pirates turned out to be all for nothing. So when he and his children were rounded up for execution, he realizes what a big mistake he made, and starts bawling and pleading for someone to save him.
