* Sweet mother of God, the Reverse-Flash. Flash-backs revealed that he tracked down the '''real''' Harrison Wells, caused the accident that killed Tess Morgan, [[SurgicalImpersonation uses a device to make himself identical to Harrison Wells on the genetic level and in terms of physical appearance]], [[DeadPersonImpersonation killing the original Harrison Wells in the process and turning him into a featureless corpse.]] It explains a lot of things, and turns the Reverse-Flash into a freakin' nightmare of a villain.

* At the start of the episode, Korber gets sucked into a singularity accidentally formed by Eddie.
* Nora finds the cobalt crystal, leading to her becoming possessed by the Negative Speed Force. It uses the opportunity to continue gaslighting Eddie into becoming its avatar.
* Speed Force Nora, after telling Team Flash Barry is stuck in 2049, outright vanishes from existance. The end of the episode clarifies that the Speed Force is so damaged, its postive energy only lives within the Flash Family. If the N.S.F wins, the Negative Forces will reign supreme.
* Eddie's BigBadSlippage over the course of the episode hits its head when 2049 era Iris rejects his proposal, and with it he becomes ''viseral'' in his threat towards Barry and Iris.
-->'''Eddie:''' You're going to regret that. You, Barry, and everyone you ''both'' love.
** Ironically, with Eddie's current attitude, he's now become a lot like '''Eobard''': someone who wants everything Barry has, no matter who gets cut down in the process.
* Once Eddie accepts his status as the Avatar, he sees visions of speedsters who had attacked Barry's family:
** Zoom, who killed Barry's Dad Henry in an attempt to prove Barry and himself were the same.
** Godspeed, who tried to kill Bart, and had succeeded in killing Jay, a doppelganger of Barry's dad, in a now erased timeline out of jealousy for them having organic speed.
** Savitar, who tried to Kill Iris, and succeeded in a now erased timeline in order to continue his own existance and in anger of how a future Team Flash rejected his time remnant status.
** The Reverse Flash, who killed Barry's mom Nora, erased a previous version of Barry's daughter, and stole his life in Reverse-Flashpoint. The man who Eddie killed himself in order to erase, now they're on the same side.
* With this, Eddie and the N.S.F are bringing back four {{Big Bad}}s for the final confrontation.

!Season 9

[[folder: Episode 1: Wednesday Ever After]]
* At the end of the episode, Owen Mercer is revealed to be working for a new speedster that is stuck in a vibrational state not unlike how Thawne first appeared. A speedster with red lightning that threatens to take away everyone the Flash as ever cared for, with a [[ComicBook/DarkNightsMetal very familiar Bat emblem ending the episode]]. The Red Death has arrived.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Episode 2: Hear No Evil]]
* The new Fiddler combines her soundwave powers with Hartley's nightclub's speaker system to send a group of employees, including Roderick, to a state of high vibration that renders them catatonic until freed. Hartley almost breaks down when he thinks Roderick died.
* Owen uses Hartley's stolen gauntlets to stablize Red Death enough to solidify their molecules again. As Red Death looks over the city on a rooftop, they deliver a threat to all of Central City.
-->'''Red Death:''' Central City, the Flash disgraced me. Now all of you will pay the price, and [[KnightTemplar justice will be served]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Episode 3: Rogues of War]]
* Barry and Iris realize that all of the tech the rogues have been stealing the past few episodes are neccesary to build a Cosmic Treadmill. Godspeed was dangerous enough with one, but if Red Death's mention back in Season 5 is any indication, there will be even worse consequences if Red Death suceeds.
* Red Death takes down Barry's rogue squad in one fell swoop, even taking out Barry's speed in the process. Thanks to this and Mark's defection, Red Death's rogues get away with the engine. The power nullifying makes Barry believe the Negative Speed Force has already chosen another avatar.
* As Mark questions who Red Death is under the mask, we finally see [[SamusIsAGirl her]] face as Mark back up against a wall terrified:
-->'''Red Death:''' I will tell you who I am. (''Red Death takes off her helmet, revealing herself to be a doppelganger of Ryan Wilder'') [[PunctuatedForEmphasis I. Am. Vengence.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Episode 4: The Mask of the Red Death, Part 1]]
* Red Death appears in an open space and terrifies everyone off. Barry questions her identity and motives, and Red Death answers with a terrifying boast.
-->'''Red Death:''' I'm the last glimmer of crimson a killer sees before he draws his final breath. [[MythologyGag I am vengence. I am the night.]] I am the Red Death.
* Red Death shows up in Barry and Iris' home and gives her backstory: once upon a time, a baby Ryan of another universe was adopted by the Wayne family, and when Thomas and Martha got shot Ryan Wayne became Batwoman to protect Gotham, eventually became a member of the Justice League and was friends with her universe's Iris. But she kept seeing her rogues gallery escape from Arkham time and time again, eventually deciding to copy their technology to keep ahead in the fight. Then she decided to copy the powers of her fellow league-mates, starting with her Flash. She created an artificial speed force and started to [[PreCrimeArrest lock people up before they had a chance to commit crimes]]. Her world's Flash decided to stop her totalitarian methods by teaming up with some of his rogues gallery. During one fight, she tried to throw a lighting bolt at her Barry, only to miss [[AccidentalMurder and kill Iris]]. This caused her to run into the Speed Force to escape, but it rejected her artifical speed and spat her out on Earth-Prime. Now, she wants to pull a [[VideoGame/InjusticeGodsAmongUs Regime Superman]] and take Iris-Prime to talk down her world's Flash.
* When her plan to go home fails, she decides to continue her work of purifying crime on Central City.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Episode 5: The Mask of the Red Death, Part 2]]
* Red Death spreads her "sentinels" across the city to enforce her brand of justice, killing anyone who attempts to defy her. Then her sentinels start spreading ''globally'', thanks to psychic help from Gorilla Grodd.

!Season 8

[[folder: Armageddon, Part 3]]
* Barry finds out that Eobard Thawne has created an entire timeline for himself and has manipulated everyone's memories to maintain it. His hold is so great that all of the heroes warmly toast him as a friend and Iris happily accepts his marriage proposal.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Armageddon, Part 4]]
* Thawne explains in detail how he set up his “Reverse-Flashpoint” by murdering Barry as a small child and tinkering with history, with the expectation that Barry will completely fade from history in a matter of hours. Tom Cavanagh acts practically feral as he spits Thawne’s lines at the former Flash.
-->"And your precious Speed Force cannot help you now because in this timeline, she chose me, and Iris chose me. I’ve won! I’ve finally won! Who’s faster now!?"
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Negative, Part One]]
* The timeline’s original version of Eobard Thawne makes his return by ripping straight through his time remnant even as the latter screams out in pain, with Meena and Barry being powerless to help him.

Hot Scientist is no longer a trope

** Oh, and the whole time, a HotScientist is watching over the security cameras. She apparently reads Iris' blog, because she tries sending out a warning- only for Kilg%re's powers to cut her off. Her panic when she realizes what's happening is chilling.
