* ''VideoGame/ToytaleRoleplay'' is a UsefulNotes/{{Roleplaying}} game partially inspired by ''VideoGame/{{Tattletail}}''[[note]](In fact, it used to have Tattletail's characters in it!)[[/note]] with a similar concept as children and toys roam freely around the house in-game. The game even outright has a death feature should you disable safety, which means that you can literally ''die'' in the game, and the game used to warn you about this and says that if it's off, you may not get the full, immersive experience.

* Bethink's [[https://www.roblox.com/catalog/3718377621/Modern-Art Modern Art]] hat, possibly the first example coming from the UGC hat catalog. It features a white box with nothing except a grotesque drawing of a face plastered all over it. May be considered funny to some players, however.

** Scary Larry... Exactly as his name implies, is ''downright horrifying''. This (possibly non-human, judging by the WindUpKey on his back and how springs and the like fall out when it's rotated) nutcase will sneak into the basement of the house on day 3. If you don't hide from him when he walks up from it, you're '''DEAD''', period. Your character will freeze in place in pure horror as you're forced to watch them be massacred, and if you don't hide in the basement before he finishes his search on the 2nd floor, he'll kill ''everyone'' who's not in there. As if that wasn't enough, right before the titular battle against him, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou he actually]] ''[[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou hacks]]'' [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou the narrator to take control!]] Thankfully, this does have a good ending... well, assuming if any survivors at maximum energy don't pick up his Golden Crowbar, which is heavily implied to [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity make them go insane and turn evil]] (which [[WhatTheHellPlayer even the narrator is shocked at them for doing so]]) and initiates the bad ending for all players on the server.

Just because it's a platform for kids doesn't mean it doesn't have [[SurprisinglyCreepyMoment its moments.]]

* Any game in the Horror genre can be this. However, some of it can be NightmareRetardant, due to the fact that some of them are just copied games with misleading thumbnails and titles along the lines of "18+ DO NOT PLAY! SCARIEST GAME ON ROBLOX!" If they are real, though, they often end up being free modeled places with barebones AI monsters, {{Jump Scare}}s, and excessive blood. ** It does not help that all players in the server hear [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E9k7rtX41w this]] while the above happens against their will. In addition, the description for the item on the store features a quote from ''ComicBook/TheSandman'', specifically one said by Choronzon:

* The secret error screen from ''Despicable Forces''. It starts out alright, but then... Well, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbeCyWIHuVo just see for yourself.]][[note]]It even uses the infamous ''VideoGame/SonicCD'' American boss theme.[[/note]]

* ''[[https://www.roblox.com/games/3851622790 Break In (Story)]]''. As you can probably expect from the "story" title, this is a game where it shortly devolves into pure, unadultured horror, especially since some of the possible roles that users can have are children. While not as bad as other examples, in here, you, and a couple other of users, move into a new house... only to have ''Film/ThePurge'' happen where a bunch of villains proceed to cause havoc and destroy the town, as lead by [[BigBad Scary Larry]]. They can easily break into the three available rooms to sleep in and attack users during the night, which is especially painful if they lack weaponry, and one of them [[DeliveryGuyInfiltration masquerades as a pizza delivery guy]] when pizza is ordered!

** However, it's what happens last that is by far the worst of all. You'll still be standing in the room, watching the reflection in the mirror get progressively more distorted and creepy, [[MirrorMonster until a shadowy figure starts rising from the reflection's floor]]. After fully rising, [[MalevolentMaskedMen a bunny-faced mask]] starts glitching on-and-off the figure's face, and your heartbeat is racing far faster than it should be. Then the figure walks towards you, and it's just as the figure reaches you [[NothingIsScarier that the game does a]] JumpCut [[NothingIsScarier to black]]. And the most terrifying thing of all? Not only is the caption for the lever now perverted like your reflection's (reading "stop the madness" before you pull it and [[LittleNo "please no"]] afterward), but even after you pull it, '''[[DaylightHorror the figure doesn't go away]].'''

* There's a very neat and advanced nuclear facility named ''[[https://www.roblox.com/games/17541193 Pinewood Computer Core]]'', where you can manage a realistic power core with your friends and other users. However, the realistic aspect is that the core will go under a nuclear explosion if it gets too hot or cold. While it can be prevented, it requires three players to fill up three emergency coolant rods just by repeatedly clicking their buttons, getting the amount of coolant in the three rods filled between 69 and 81 percent, which is [[SurpriseDifficulty Harder Than It Looks]] but if you don't get the percentages right, or on very rare occasions, the rods fail to cool the core, a meltdown will occur. Upon the failure, loud sirens play right before ominous music (a track even named after the aforementioned adjective) music plays, and that is quickly followed by a deep voice telling you to evacuate because of the dangerous meltdown that is just happening. It's scarier when you enter a server that's about to have a meltdown or has already just had one (at least before the map rebuilds), seeing the sudden JumpScare of expecting the base to be operating as normal, only for it to be in a frantic meltdown. * [[https://www.roblox.com/games/45659278/PARTY-exe PARTY.exe]] [[SurpriseCreepy doesn't look like a scary game at first]], as you're going to your house to have your own birthday party. If you dig further, you'll have to deal with a mysterious and haunting white figure, be ambushed by your own party members, get killed by a black void, and discover that the whole premise is a virtual reality experiment. The game is categorized as Horror for a good reason. Fortunately, it's a HorrorComedy game and provides plenty of LightmareFuel to keep the horrors at bay, at least.

* ''Goblin Island'' is a silly game about whacking other players that look like the [[https://www.roblox.com/catalog/5945013896/Realistic-cursed-goblin Realistic cursed goblin]] accessory (which was also made by the game creator), so it's pretty jarring as Wren's mystery box objective goes from gaining ten total kills in the game (and even having a chance to turn into a Realistic cursed Wren goblin) to entering the Memory Zone to receive the mystery box... and hoo boy, [[SurpriseCreepy the sudden change in atmosphere is terrifying]]. You're stuck in what seems to be a [[EldritchLocation warped abandoned area]], and you're expecting a JumpScare at one point... but [[NothingIsScarier there's nothing. No music. Nothing]]. Just pure PlatformHell. There isn't even a triumphant sound when you pick up the mystery box, nothing at all. You're basically stuck there until you exit the game.

* Literally played straight with their now defunct background song called "[[https://youtu.be/dBvlnyvgOnw Horror]]", it became very well known for it's unsettling bell sounds (which are played at a slower speed).

* Hood games, such as ''[[https://www.roblox.com/games/2788229376/Da-Hood Da Hood]]'' and ''[[https://www.roblox.com/games/455366377/The-Streets The Streets]]'' are pretty nightmarish, portraying various criminal-infested areas as orderless places, and players over there have freedom to do whatever they want. ''ANYTHING'', such as kidnapping, murder, gang assaults, etc., meaning that you might think you're safe when suddenly a criminal appears out of nowhere to murder you ForTheEvulz. By far the most nightmarish of these is ''[[https://www.roblox.com/games/4588604953/Criminality-BETA Criminality]]'', which aside from the above, also features [[OffWithHisHead beheading]], [[AnArmAndALeg dismemberment]], and tons of blood. Even a single gunshot is enough to scare the crap out of experienced players because of how dangerous they are in that game. There's a 300 Robux access fee for a good reason.

*** Now, we have Drowneds. ''Everything'' about this monster is creepy. They appear similar to Cannibals, but now make new sounds. What new sounds do they make? '''[[HellIsThatNoise Gurgling and choking]]''', sounding like [[MeaningfulName they've actually been drowned and are choking on the water]] [[AndIMustScream that's blocking their mouths]]. They also have a new animation: ''[[ProneToVomiting A vomiting animation]]'', and it's not just a small amount of it either; '''[[NauseaFuel it's copious and copious amounts of vomit]]'''.

*** [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin True to]] [[MeaningfulName their name]], Soul Eaters [[YourSoulIsMine eat souls]], but the animation that plays is '''horrifying'''. The person they're consuming ''will be surrounded by dark trails, which swirl around them wildly'', and then their souls leave their body, and the Soul Eater absorbs it.

* [[https://www.roblox.com/games/1639130617/Find-The-Krazy-Kitties-104 Find The Krazy Kitties (104)]] is a normally lighthearted game. However, [[BigBoosHaunt Appar Manor]] is pretty creepy, despite being full of NightmareRetardant and LightmareFuel moments. The place is set in the dark, there is a somewhat unnerving [[EndlessCorridor endless]] [[UnnaturallyLoopingLocation stairway]], and from there you may reach a platforming area with various mannequins hanging from the ceiling, which is required to get one of the Kitties. The collectable Kitties themselves aren't that bad, but the [[https://www.roblox.com/badges/1923692407/Skeleton-Kitty Skeleton Kitty]] is unsettling enough that even the ''creator'' is terrified of it!
* The now (apparently removed) [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Tails]] [[{{Creepypasta}} Doll]] series from roughly 2014. The first game in the series is pretty simple; you are in a rusty metal corridor with red fog and you can only go forward until you eventually get [[JumpScare jumpscared]]. However, Tails Doll II has you enter a wooden house in a small field, where you meet an old man who gives some {{exposition}} before you suddenly hear the faint sound of "[[VideoGame/SonicR Can You Feel the Sunshine?]]". You are then told to get into a wooden elevator as the song slowly gets louder. Eventually you get off and exit the building, and as the song raises in volume you slowly limp (at least that’s the speed you’re moving at) towards the edge of the map. In the final installment of the series, you are in a [[BlackoutBasement nearly pitch black basement/lab]] made of dark grey stone full of moss. Your only tool is a flashlight and by inspecting notes around the place you find out about an experiment GoneHorriblyWrong, a shattered test chamber, and eventually reach a maze like area. It is unknown what happens in the rest of the game, as all of the videos that show footage of it stop at the maze, [[NothingIsScarier though that makes it all the more disturbing.]]
* At first, the [[RougeAnglesOfSatin rather]] [[RandomEventsPlot flawed]] horror game known as "Hospital [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos Slenderman]] Nightmare 3" is an unintentionally hilarious mix of outdated memes (notably Weegee), grammar that is so [[TheUnintelligible unintelligible]] that's it's funny and general unintended LightmareFuel - but once you encounter a [[KnightOfCerebus dark-coloured ghost]] that teleports you somewhere else, the broken dialogue entirely disappears. [[NothingIsScarier It's just you, alone, wandering around black and white halls.]] Oh, and this section has the first JumpScare in the game. The CerebusSyndrome doesn't last forever, but it's still a creepy twist to this otherwise unintentionally funny game.
