* The [[MakeMeWannaShout Shrieker]], a mutated zombie with an elongated neck and a giant lung/gullet/dewlap thing, it has the ability to scream to stun the player and call the zombies. Most of the time however, this thing is running away from you, screaming in terror. Not scary, but quite unsettling.

* C-virus zombies are not, I repeat ''not'' the shambling, sluggish undead of Raccoon City. On top of being smart enough to pick up and use weaponry like axes, pipes and ''guns'' (they're no J'avo, but they can still send a spray of bullets at those they want to kill), the sheer animalistic fury they exude is terrifying. They charge and lunge with their faces twisted with hate, snarling and roaring in ways no human vocal cords could manage. While T-virus victims stumble around in a daze and attack in a blind hunger, C-virus victims turn openly and gleefully murderous.

* Leon and Helena's flight to China presents all sorts of nightmare inducing scenarios:
** The pilots turn into zombies and then whole plane gets flooded with the same gas that brough down Tall Oaks, turning all the passengers into zombies. Leon and Helena are thousands of feet in the air with no way out.
** The duo open the plane's hatch to get rid of the zombie that's flooding the plane with the gas, but the sudden change in air pressure nearly causes them to be tossed out of the plane. If you fail the quick time event while crawling up the ramp, you get to see your character getting hit by a flying box and get flung out of the plane, falling to their deaths.
** Leon has to take control of the plane so it doesn't crash. Despite his best efforts, the plane plows through several buildings before coming to a complete stop. An airplane crashing is terrifying enough, but seeing one crash through buildings and killing a bunch of people (even if you can't see them) is downright horrifying.
