*** Making it even more funny is when all three get tortured, and their animations ''play in sync''. They look more like they're dancing.
** Mission Vao ordinarily is given a vibrosword. However, she almost never puts it away during cutscenes, which makes it seem weird when she is holding her face... and jams her vibroblade right through it.

** The final dialogue exchange in the Bastila romance subplot is rendered narmy when the player character makes Bastila admit she has fallen in love with him, prompting her to say, "Now, shut up and kiss me, you fool," while doing this ridiculous-looking nodding.
** When the crew is captured by the ''Leviathan'' about halfway through the game, the player is taken to be interrogated along with Carth and Bastila, one of whom will be tortured with some kind of electric shock depending on the player character's sex. The dialogue is narmy enough, but the scene is undermined by the way the character being tortured calmly straightens up, seemingly no worse for wear as soon as the shock abates.

The electrical shocks and if you play Revan as female, Carth will get zapped. Their dialogue is narmy enough, enough ("NO! THE PAIN! ** Can be invoked by the player through the use of purely aesthetic outfits and cartel unlocks. Buy some truly silly or out-of-place looking outfits on the Cartel... and watch the seriousness of the scenes get ruined because your character is wearing absolutely ridiculous armor.
** Some dialogue options are tied to class rather than race. The player can have some fun with legacy or cartel unlocks to have a Cathar player ask "What's a Cathar?" on Ord Mantell, go through the Jedi Knight or Consular storylines as a Sith Pureblood, have a Sith Pureblood Bounty Hunter say "Well good thing I [[BlatantLies have no Sith DNA]]", go through Mako's storyline while looking almost ''exactly'' like Mako, or have an obvious Cyborg rescue someone from "Cyborg freaks". And that's not even touching all the (often ridiculous) hairstyles you can put on your characters.
** If the player doesn't romance Vette, the ending to Jaesa Willsaam's light-sided companion story can end with her accepting the "logic" of having the player's child.
** The Sith Warrior's "Force Scream" attack, damaging the enemy by expelling force energy from the mouth. The problem is that it sounds way too deep to qualify as a "scream" - at best, it sounds like a roar, but at worst, it both sounds and looks like a [[{{Gasshole}} belch]].
** The reused body language animations all the characters use tends to result in this, particularly how many use the same hand-waving motions while explaining things, or while ''not'' explaining anything, regardless of their personality or how natural the motions are for a given conversation. This is particularly {{egregious}} with the "turn head to the side before turning it back with a slight shake" animation, which tends to pop up at least once per conversation.
*** In ''Knights of the Fallen Empire'', they have upped the more unique body language and facial animations for characters, which makes for a jarring experience when going back to replay the vanilla part of the game.
*** The "Smiling" animation can look between UncannyValley and this, since characters all have the same smile regardless of their model. This can be outright hilarious when Theron looks ''way'' too happy if you [[spoiler: have Saresh arrested]].
** Lord Vanithrast's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCdlsL_zFn0 voice acting]] in the Maelstrom Prison flashpoint is unintentionally hilarious.
** '''THE ETERNAL THRONE IS MIIINEE!!'''
** By default, Togruta characters have their headgear disabled... but they will still have a filter applied to their voice unless the helmet is hidden.
** The beginning of Chapter VII and IX of Knights of the Eternal Throne begin with the player character waking up after nightmares. Unfortunately, your character is always in their equipment. And will even have their helmets or weapons on them, making one wonder just ''how'' they can sleep wearing heavy armour and/or with a ''rifle'' strapped to their back.
** Playing a Chiss Jedi Consular will result in an inadvertently hilarious example of [[http://i.imgur.com/u27S4kM.jpg racial insensitivity]] when meeting one of the mission contacts on Hoth. The Chiss race is unavailable for Republic classes until you get a Chiss character to level 50 (or pay to unlock the race), so it's a scene that you'll likely set up deliberately, rather than something you encounter by accident.

* ''DragonAge'' may itself turn out to be quite non-narmy. '''However''', one cannot help but find [[http://www.gametrailers.com/video/sex-dragon-age/49052?type=flv this trailer]] ''incredibely'' narmariffic.
** ''DragonAge'' ''is'' a splendid game... but BioWare really does need to work on picking its trailer music. And not just trailer music, either. "This Is War" by 30 Seconds To Mars in the end credits of a fantasy game? Airy LOTR-esque soprano in a sex scene (that is worth mentioning in itself - especially with character models/animations that can only do so much and a PC who can barely change expression when doing ''anything'')?
** Every time the PC and his/her love interest kiss, there is a little tinkly musical flourish that's just embarrassing.
** Leliana is supposed to be a bard, so she must sing at some point. However, both the buildup to the scene and the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSh86CNCgDY execution]] leave a lot to be desired.
*** When she uses any of her song abilities in battle, she appears to lean her head back and howl.
**** She doesn't mysteriously change voice actress, either.
** In one area, you're asked to help stop a group of werewolves who have recently attacked a group of elves. When you talk to the elves, you are asked by one man if you would look for his wife, who he believes has become a werewolf. When you find her, she's is, in fact, a werewolf, and is obviously in a great deal of pain and doing her best to fend off the savage nature of the werewolf. She asks you to kill her to make the pain stop. The voice acting and storytelling are both handled in such a way that this is actually quite a moving moment . . . until a moment after she is dead, at which point you realize you can loot the corpse. FOR A WEREWOLF PELT.
** Alter a character's armor and cutscenes - the best and/or most stirring ones included - involving that character will change their appearance accordingly. This includes if you remove their armor altogether, which players are often encouraged to do before {{Guest Star Party Member}}s are LostForever. Cue [[spoiler: Daveth]] flailing at Duncan's feet choking to death from the Taint ''in his underwear''.
** Speaking of Duncan, the part during the Joining where he talks about mastering your taint is incredibly funny if you're immature.
** The scene at the Landsmeet [[spoiler: should you choose to execute Loghain is a touching farewell between father and daughter, with suitably moving music, right up to the point where [[OverdrawnAtTheBloodBank Anora gets a patented Dragon Age blood bath.]]]]
** There's a bit of synching problem in one dramatic cutscene. During the battle of Redcliffe, villagers scream and run for safety as the undead horde approaches. One woman screams...but no sound comes out. Rather, her scream goes to [[ScreamsLikeALittleGirl a guy.]]

* DragonAgeII has its own narm. During the Dissent quest, for example, Justice makes a dramatic entry which leads to a battle against a dangerous templar. Then the battle is over however, and Justice just keep ranting like an angry child and getting into a squabble with a mage that you're trying to save, [[spoiler: possibly killing her for being afraid of him.]]
** The scene between Hawke and Gamlem [[spoiler: after Leandra's death]], probably the most stilted, clumsily scripted mourning scene this troper has ever witnessed.
** ( [[TearJerker Though some of us were way too sad to notice.]] )
** There's massive MoodWhiplash at the start of the game, courtesy of the dialogue wheel [[spoiler: Either Carver or Bethany get squished by an orge depending on the choice of class, Leandra and Hawke mourn their death, obviously quite sad, yet 2 minutes later, Hawke can be quite happily snarking away with Flemeth.]]
** Anytime Meredith's ShouldersOfDoom [[SpecialEffectsFailure clip through her character model]]. Which happens quite frequently in cutscenes.
*** Her own hair can sometimes clip through her face.
** Whatever you do, don't give Anders the staff, "Malcolm's Honor". The handle has an elaborate gold carving of a naked woman on it. [[spoiler: If he has it equipped when he blows up the Chantry, a normall dramatic over the shoulder shot of him calling out Meredith and Orsino will be mostly obscured by golden breasts.]]

* Though normally well acted and interesting, more than a few of the dialogues in ''{{Mass Effect}}'' can become ''spectacularly'' narmtacular depending on what selections you make and what order you select them. The "dialogue wheel" usually gives you a choice between "nice" and "rude" responses (with a few "neutrals" sprinkled among them) to drive the game's paragon/renegade KarmaMeter, but if you aren't perfectly consistent in your dialogue choices over the course of the game you can make Commander Shepard seem positively bipolar, oscillating between a principled and compassionate gentleman soldier and a genocidal jerkass who publicly executes unarmed civilians. The single biggest potential narm moment is probably Shepard's speech once s/he gains control of the Normandy, where you can jump between tolerant nice guy and xenophobic human-supremacist in ''every other sentence''.
** Said xenophobic speech ends with a shot of Ashley being flanked by Wrex and Garrus. One imagines them reconsidering their decision to join Shepard's crew.
** Something like half the lines Ashley gives are narm. "Just because I can drill you from a hundred yards between the eyes, doesn't mean I can't appreciate poetry!" And the romance storylines, oh my ''god''...
** "By the goddess, Shepard, that was incredible!"
** Shepard: "You know, I don't think I have all my stress worked out yet." Kaidan: "JOKER'S WAITING FOR YOU ON THE BRIDGE!"
** This trooper found almost every single cutscene in that game narmful. The voice acting is not really the problem, but the character models are unbelievable stiff. I couldn't stop laughing during Benezia's death, and I had Liara with me. Actually, it was probably because I had Liara with me. Her lines had no emotion at all, and her stiff "acting" made it all funnier.
*** This troper had Liara with him and during [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuTdAaHE64s that scene]], and found it tragic enough as she slumped to the floor and gave her tragic last words... as the '80s style electronic music that accompanied the boss fight jumped back up in volume. Mood killed by SoundtrackDissonance, ouch.
** This Troper feels the need to mention the voice acting for Benezia. The delivery of her lines completely removed any tragedy from the scene, and instead resulted in a hearty bout of laughter. It didn't help that this troper couldn't stop thinking of [[StarTrekTheNextGeneration Counselor Troi]]...
** While its very easy to avoid, if the player chooses to drive the Mako into the lava you get an instant game over, despite the fact that NOTHING VISUALLY HAPPENS TO THE MAKO.
** Pressly's wonderfully rage-tastic [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bs-huu6a58 lines]] as the Normandy approaches Ilos. "THERE IS NO OTHER LANDING ZONE!"

* ''{{MassEffect2}}'' is fairly Narm free, exept for the end of one sidequest where you're rescuing an injured quarian. So you've spent five minutes of so killing off the attacking wild animals, and you've got the poor guy in the shuttle. At the last second, one of the horrible things comes charging out of the undergrowth and leaps at the shuttle door... and Shepard ''roundhouse kicks the little bastard in the face.'' Yes, roundhouse kicks. It's absolutely impossible to watch without your mind instantly going to ChuckNorris.
*** Then there are Shepard's dances. Imagine a person in full body armor, looking like he/she just raided an army warehouse, come into a night club and ''start dancing.''
*** The recorded screaming when enemies are lifted by biotic fields may SOMETIMES get caught on loop even after the supposed character screaming has been killed...and you end up walking around the battlefield with RIDICULOUS amounts of rather silly screaming for the next few minutes.
*** Try romancing Jacob Taylor as a Femshep. Heavy risk...[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3wO4IOJc9U but the priiize]]
*** Although Arrival was mostly serious, this troper burst out laughing at [[spoiler: Dr. Kenson's]] line: "Now I will die, having never seen the blessings of the Reapers! And you will just die!"
*** Kasumi's loyalty mission faces you against the evil mobster Donovan Hock, who has a crippling and rather narmy case of WhatTheHellIsThatAccent?. To those not familiar with his [[GeniusBonus Afrikaans]], the devious and ruthless crime boss has a hilarious mix of about every accent imaginable.
** The suicide mission is an incredible achievement in programming and logistics, but it can be prone to a couple of moments that are laugh-out-loud hilarious:
*** It is impossible for [[spoiler:Miranda]] to die until Shepard gives his/her final speech before embarking with a team to the center of the Collector base. Until that point, though, it's possible to put Miranda (even an unloyal one) into hilarious situations. Having her as a support character during the "Long Walk" portion of the mission (with a bad choice made for the person to hold the biotic field) can result in her being dragged off by seeker swarms, then reappearing and almost smiling at the progress of the mission a minute later.
**** That's only possible if you do a bit of modding, though. Normally the ''other'' squadmate will get dragged off, usually screaming. Though a few are pretty hilarious (Tali, I'm looking at you).
*** If an unloyal [[spoiler:Garrus]] is picked to lead the second diversion squad, his death scene will be poignant, as he tells Shepard and the gang to go on and "snipe one more" Collector for him...and then his head sags and gets lodged in the damaged section of his neckplate. It kills the mood ''and'' looks absolutely hilarious!
*** There's a way to get [[spoiler:Zaeed]] killed by cutscene AFTER completing the main mission of the game. It's all pretty normal, even a little dramatic, until the very end, when he [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXt1OT1K3ss makes a very parody-able frown and yells "SHEPARD!"]] in a totally laughable way.
*** Watching Jacob die in any number of ways is this for many, due to his hatedom.
** "Oh Captain... my Captain." Seriously, Ashley? WTF? Double the funny for both horrible delivery and a complete lack of understanding of the poem.
*** Which you can [[CrowningMomentOfFunny call her out on.]]
-->'''Shepard:''' "As I recall the captain dies in that poem."
**** [[HilariousInHindsight And, in fact, he does!]]
** While her work for the Paragon lines is good, some of JenniferHale's Renegade lines are Narm-tastic. This troper cringed when he heard her yell "It's a big, stupid jellyfish!"
*** Hell, even her Paragon lines can be narmy, due to a lack of consistency. It's pretty jarring to hear her go from soft, sugary-sweet to a gruff, deep tone.
** If Jennifer Hale's voicework is Narm-tastic, what's to say about Mark Meer's completely wooden delivery? Half of his Renegade lines, including the jellyfish one, is hilarious because he's not even trying most of the time.
*** This troper, come to think of it, has never actually played a Paragon FemShep either in MassEffect or {{MassEffect2}} ...
** This troper would like to point out that [[MemeticMutation DIRECT INTERVENTION IS NECESSARY]] to stop him from cracking every time a certain character talked. It was as if BlizzardEntertainment was [[InterruptingMeme ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL]] of that character's writing, and gave BioWare one of their [[LargeHam voice contacts]]. Its really amazing how much [[OverlyLongGag THIS HURTS]] [[MostAnnoyingSound YOU]] if you don't find his lines narmy.
*** It's important to note however, that the first time you hear some of these lines, the fact that they're so personal is pure HighOctaneNightmareFuel, until Harbinger becomes a regular enemy and you realize that he only has about six lines that are repeated over and over again. It goes from terrifying to hilarious over the course of the first mission he's in.
*** Even with the narm, it should be noted that those lines still have OhCrap power on higher difficulties. Horizon and the Collector cruiser are tough enough without a hyper-powered MKWalker stomping around and spamming fireballs.

* ''KnightsOfTheOldRepublic'' has a few instances of narm. For example:
** The final dialogue exchange in the Bastila romance subplot is rendered narmy when the player character makes Bastila admit she has fallen in love with him, prompting her to say, "Now, shut up and kiss me, you fool," while doing this ridiculous-looking nodding.
