I'll believe it was behind his back when it's proven beyond a doubt.

On September 22, 2023, CJ was fired from the band just after the release of ''Godlike'', shortly following blatantly transphobic remarks he publicly made, which the other members stated was not the direct reason for his firing, but was the straw that broke the camel's back after several other alleged incidents over the course of his tenure. His vocals on the album were wiped and rerecorded without his knowledge before release.

Also, don't break equipment belonging to them and then try to evade being held accountable, as Volumes learned[[note]]the story given by CJ was that one of their members was carelessly kicking a soccer ball around a room, which careened into a very expensive video camera owned by the band and broke it; when an angry CJ informed the member that they were going to pay to replace the camera, he was told that they had already sent the money that they had earned on tour home and didn't have enough to pay for it. When CJ asked when they had done so, he was told that it had happened earlier that day (a Sunday). CJ then proceeded to inform them that they could not have possibly done that, as it was a Sunday and none of the banks in Australia were open on Sundays, informed them that they had just lied to his face, and told them that if they didn't pay to replace the camera ASAP, he was going to kick the shit out of them.[[/note]].
